Beware of this firm.
I was wrongfully dismissed at my job, after a humiliating treatment from the employer, as well as left unemployed because the employer lied about the duration of the position. After explaining my situation, this firm put a lawyer named Stan Fainzilberg. I submitted documentation to prove my case and he said they were wrong. I made a clear point in wanting to go all the way to court, but after three months, this lawyer made a U-turn and forced me to accept a very minimum settlement and completely discarded his own list of claims in the case submitted to court. He failed to comply his part in the retainer. I presented lots of evidence and even so, he never even tried to fight in court for my case. He just washed hands, took his fees, and disappeared.
Beware of this firm that hire this type of "lawyers" as going to the labor board directly will give you exactly the same compensation without the hassle and disappointment.

Your suggestion that the Ministry of Labour will always give you the exact same compensation that lawyers are able to obtain is incorrect, otherwise our firm and numerous others would not be able to celebrate the success of thousands of clients who saw their severance packages increase significantly from their original offers (which are usually based on ESA minimums).
