Self Storage Depot

Here we are at year 2! We are so happy we chose this location to store our items safely! The facility is always clean, there are no bugs, and the temperature is always kept steady. We appreciate having 24/7 access to our unit - and theres never been a safety issue if we decide to come at night. The staff are absolutely wonderful, professional, and super friendly! And the price is unbeatable in the area for what you get in return. Great place to store!

I wasn’t able to write this review until now but I really wanted to say how incredibly professional, courteous, kind and helpful Sue and Mary were in my interactions with them. They went out of their way to help me including staying late since I had been caught in traffic and couldn’t make it before closing. I have since vacated the storage space I was renting but I would definitely recommend Self Storage Depot in Bby and their incredible staff Sue and Mary.

This place is awful, if I could give it 0 stars I would. My family and I have just moved and my mother-in-law was super helpful with buying and bringing me boxes for packing. She always had a fun story to tell me after visiting the Self Storage Depot in North Vancouver. They would carry the boxes to her car for her and give her complimentary tape, she went with my kids one day the guys there asked if they could give the kids bubble wrap to play with, etc. So when it came time to needing more boxes, I was excited to visit the Self Storage Depot near me, (the one in Burnaby). However, I had a completely different experience there. It was the day before the move and I needed a couple extra boxes to finish up the last of the odds and ends, so I showed up first thing, right at opening but the debit machines were down. After talking with the 2 employees that were there, shooting some ideas back and forth, they seemed willing and wanted to help me. Unfortunately that's when the manager arrived. I was the only customer in the store, and he had to walk straight past me to get to wherever his destination was, and he didn't even spare me a glance. The employees had to draw his attention to me about my inquiry on getting some boxes, and he was so rude. He had 0 interest in helping me at all. He was very quick to dismiss me and when I inquired as to why, he just threw in my face that because I don't use a storage locker there he doesn't have to, and won't help me. Really shameful behavior to have towards anyone but especially to display that kind of rudeness infront of his own kid that he had brought in with him. I'll never be going here again or even rent from this location as long as that miserable man is still in management.

Quite frankly has some of the best customer service I’ve dealt with anywhere. They are genuinely so kind! As a self storage service, they are also amazing. Such a clean and safe facility functioning with a very practical and secure access system. The manager is very helpful, and Sue is a pleasure to deal with over the phone. I love that they play the radio throughout the facility, which makes me feel at ease whenever I’m visiting after hours to pick something up from my unit.

I highly recommend this company. Among the ones I searched, I believe It is the only one with 24 hours a day, seven days a week access—clean building(s).
The price is also reasonable compared to their competitors. Even their promotional yearly pricing is pretty fair. You pay for 11 months and stay for 12 months. The discounted month would be the Last one. So, if you move out in the middle of the year, they will refund you. So they won’t lock you in.
One more thing which came to my attention is they don't charge you overpriced for the supplies like storage locks or boxes! I didn't expect that, as usually, businesses use their leverage to sell you the required stuff like locks at a higher price. Indeed lock smith was more expensive! Buy it from them confidently:)
Last but not least, employees treat customers pretty well. I had dealt with Sue, the lady who is mainly in Burnaby location, another gentleman whom I don't know his name, a mature indian/Persian guy, Glen, the manager who me helped in situation that he could easily walk away but he didn't.

This storage facility is well managed and maintained. They provided carts secured ladder to safely access the upper storage unit. The upper unit is quite high so make sure you use small boxes to transport stuff to upper unit. They also provided movable lamp to easily see stuff with deeper units.
