We had a very seamless process renting our unit. I had originally called to take advantage of a limited time deal and was willing to pay the extra week but the manager allowed me to delay our move in by a week and still honour the deal. The storage facility was very convenient to access as the hours of entry went quite late into the evening and entrance using a personal code was very easy. We were never concerned about theft or damage to any of our items. We have since cancelled our unit as we no longer needed it but would definitely use Sentinel Storage again in the future should the need arise again.

On the phone your staff Ari was very helpful and make processing easy, really love the promotion months free for 4 weeks and it’s for real ! front desk staff is also very good, they make everything easy and smooth for me as first timer using the storage, they did storage showing how to open and close it lock, code, hours etc.

I highly recommend this business.

This is the first time my family needs storage, and we visited Sentinel Storage in West Edmonton. It was great. The lady Maria and her team always take the time to answer any questions I may have and provide me with all the options available. My family got a good deal for 4 weeks of storage.
Storage was clean when I recieved it. One day, I forgot to lock my unit probably, her team called me and helped me correct it. Maria and her team are the best.

Very clean and well secure area. We stored our trailer upon moving to Alberta for about 8 months and was very pleased with the results and security provided. Customer service was awesome and overall I would recommend the site highly.

THE WORST SENTINEL LOCATION BY FAR. I WARN YOU - GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION!

It feels wrong to give one star.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD.

I have been a Sentinel Customer for years and have had units at many locations in the Edmonton area. I've always had a great experience, until 21010 100 Ave.

The first day I rented the unit, I moved my things in, trying to be as quick as possible as my kids were at home with a babysitter. I had set an alarm on my phone to ensure I left on time. However, in a hurry, I left my phone in the car. I ended up leaving 10 minutes after access hours ended.

The next day after work, I went to drop off another load of my things - my code was denied. Said the area was closed, even though it was only 6 PM. I called the store multiple times, left multiple messages, sent emails... no response. I called the number posted on the door, and the employee was very helpful and informed me that my hours had been restricted and that I could only access my unit from 9-5, Monday through Saturday. No notification from the on-site staff, no callback, still nothing. I have emailed them apologizing and explaining that I can't get there during those hours because I am a busy, working, single mom, and the evening is when I need access. I sent emails and left voicemails - I apologized and offered to pay a late fee instead of having my hours restricted, and explained my busy schedule and that I work during the day, but there was no response. They blatantly ignore my calls and emails.

THEN...
I see an email from them! This is about 2-2.5 weeks after the day that. I was late leaving the facility. I thought it was finally a response to all my attempts to speak to someone from their office, but no. IT WAS AN INVOICE FOR THE COST OF THE COMING MONTH! As if I'm going to pay for another month after the bullshit I've gone through with the staff here since day one! AS IF!!!

Additionally, I referred someone to their location a few days after I got the unit. They have not honoured the referral program either. They also restricted HIS hours without notice and now are ignoring his calls because we went to the facility together. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I went to this location because it was extremely convenient and close to where I live. My experience at this one location might just be enough for me to change the company I store with altogether. I'm appalled at the customer service.

*** TRUST ME, it's worth the bit of extra gas and drive time to GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION. ***

The staff here are on a serious power trip and have zero regard for customer service. I really hope that when faced with a confrontation or an unhappy customer, they have more effective strategies than simply ignoring all of the customer's attempts at correspondence. Simply pathetic. I've seen more spine in jellyfish - they can't even reply to a damn email. Unreal.

West location 21010-100ave. So a friend of mine get a storage unit. She was less then 10 minutes late exiting the facility so they cut her access time down to ONLY business hrs. No warning no late exit fee. So that's someone else's issue.. I got my own unit in my name which i needed late night access. Which is what I needed the storage for. And without any notice or contact. No email no phone call no enquiry at all, they cut my access to my own seperate unit down to store hours access only. This is after I been there for only 3day. Then still with no warning they cut my access down to me having to go into the office everytime I want access. I have made several phone calls during and after hours to understand why I have been restricted after breaking no rules. Promises to return my phone calls that were never returned!! Left voice-mails that were never followed up with. Its been 2 weeks with limited to no access and zero information to why I'm cut off other then my association with another patron. So I am being put on probation and restricted because of my association of another fellow storage renter. And I'm sure at the end of the month I will be expected to pay full price for a unit that I have to ask permission every time I go there to access and only during office hours. ZERO callbacks as they instructed they would. ZERO access unless I get their permission. ZERO follow ups from emails and voice-mail left. ZERO warning or extension as to why I was restricted in the first place. I had to leave work early and physically go to their office to be told that I could have access FOR THAT ONE ENTRY. Even the regional manager has not returned my email as to why I'm being punished for another patrons late exit. So this is going right on your website wall as NOONE will return any form of communication with me!! But the office does smell amazing.

Unbelievably great experience the staff there was super nice a guy and a girl can't remember their names I think his name was Abraham. Very friendly and courteous in accommodating got me the unit that I needed showed me how to use the gates. excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Had this aroma inside the office when you walk in I thought it was someone's cologne or something it smelled really good

Never had problems with them. Good location, 25/7 access was a awesome. Only thing I didn't like was how much the unit filled with dust and small debris from outside. There aren't really any seals (on my unit at least). If everything is in boxes you should be fine

my husband went missing While our things were stored here and he has the only key and because the unit is in his name Sentinel wouldn't let me break the lock to move our Stuff to a more affordable facility without getting a letter notarized by a lawyer stating that I was his next of kin and can handle his affairs in his absence. Making it so that our fees lapse and they take the locker from us making sure that I lose everything we own, only because a police report isn't good enough for them stating that my husband is a missing person. Thanks Sentinel!! Not only are your prices totally out to lunch, but your policies are horrendous!! Oh and I forgot to mention that all of this is going on regardless of the fact that they were planning on evicting us because my husband stayed there over night because after 11pm their gate won't let a customer out of the facility making it so that whoever is in there is FORCED to be in there all night unless they scale the fence. Which I'm sure my husband had to do the last time any activity was seen of him. Sentinel is terrible!! Stay away from them... find storage elsewhere!!

I have been using storage companies all across Canada and America for about 20 years.

Sentinel has proven that they offer good secure storage systems and solutions for probably the best prices/ft.

That however is not what has spawned this review.

2024: in a world where social skills and customer service values are at an all time low, within sentinel storage resides an employee that takes every persons (doesn’t even have to be a customer yet) issues or needs as a top priority!

He knows what his company can provide, he works with the client seamlessly, and should an issue arise…… making the call to him I guarantee will have a smile on your face by the culmination of the conversation!

RICHARD (and never use a short form for his name because he is anything but that).

Thank you for being the awesome charismatic purveyor of storage solutions and also a man of the people!

I truly hope your team sees what I have seen and knows the gem they have running the business like you do!
Keep up the great work man.
I dare not stray from sentinel storage because I know how committed to my satisfaction you are for me to be there!
