Cave Quarries opened in the 1930’s by William Cave as a roadside quarry for construction of local United States Highways, and sold to Ray Knies in 1960. Since 1960 it has been in the Knies Family, with Ray’s sons, Jeff and Joe Knies running the operation to present time.
