Worst service... no signs of improvement
Firstly upon purchasing my new truck 3 years ago I received the car minus a plastic cap around the window, which no one noticed... luckily I did before I left the dealership. It was replaced a week later by the time the part came in.
6 months later I noticed paint peeling off the bumper because it was too tight against the rear fender. When I brought it in they said it would be fixed. The day after I returned to find a very poor patch job where it looked like a kid dabbed nail polish over the areas. Leaving it to be fixed properly for the second time I returned to find the bumper and fender had scratches around the effected area. As well the interior had oil stains all over the dash. Leaving the truck again for the third time to be fixed of these new scratches and now interior to be cleaned we returned the following day to find the dash cleaned, bumper and scratches fixed but the driver side seat had oil stains. The manager decided to get involved only now and insured me this would be the last time the truck would need to be in and he would have the interior cleaned and offered me a rental only to have to pay for the insurance myself so I refused.
Last winter for no reason the tuck wouldn't start (needed a battery boost). Being at our cottage we called Honda's road side assistance which we were told they would be several hours before reaching us. The lady on the phone didn't ask if we were stranded on the road or if there was a house near by... she just said she would call us back to see if she could find someone close to our area... to this day we've never received that call back ;0) I'd like to personally thank CAA for showing up 20 minutes after we called them!!
Now, just yesterday my driver side rear break went straight to the rotor hearing metal on metal (no other noise was present before hand to suggest anything was wrong) I was sure this would be fixed under my 5 year warranty. When I took the truck in Natalie said it was normal wear and it would not be covered under warranty. I didn't "maintain" the breaks she said...Isn't that what "B" system service truck reminder would be for? Maybe a hint of the breaks squeaking would have given it away but like I said it went straight to the metal sound. Not sure how one side of the break would go right down to metal and all three other breaks are completely fine but I'm not a mechanic...
At the end of the day its nice to know that Mid town Honda has their customers best interest at heart. If I knew I'd have this much problems with the dealership I would have just bought a GM.
