disgusting delivery

On May 27/2016 we were to have a delivery of 5 new appliances and a bedroom highboy and 3 small living room tables. We live in brand new condo at 18- 2235 Blackwater Rd in London which is still under construction. While waiting for the delivery, I received a phone call, stating that the delivery guys were there, so I said I will go out and meet them, the lady said "oh but mam, im sorry but they said they could not deliver as there were trucks in the way (it was a pick up truck), I said I would go have them move it, she said well they feel that their lives are in danger, so they will not be delivering, I ran out after the truck to tell them I had the pickup moved but they totally ignored me and went on their merry old way....so, so ignorant... I was in tears, Teppermans had left me and my family without our goods. I had previously, as did all of my neighbours had huge furniture trucks come into my street with no problem at all, the delivery idiots said they were told to wear hard...

We respect our employees’ decision to refuse work if they feel there is a risk of bodily harm or if they are unable to conduct their duties safely.
All of our employees’ and business partners are equipped with the appropriate safety equipment related to their specific job duties. Any additional safety equipment required as a result of working in a unique environment (i.e. a construction zone) would require additional preparation and advance notice.Even in those unique situations where additional safety equipment is required, it still may not be feasible for our employees to conduct work safely.

As to the two store employees you referenced, Brian and Wioletta, thank you for bringing to our attention that they supported our delivery team’s decision to prioritize health and safety first.

Figured you would focus in on the hard hats....that is just a load of crap....that same day, I had a huge moving van on the street delivering my furniture and no lives were in danger or did they have to wear a hard hat.......so much for your 'CUSTOMER SERVICE"...NO ONE'S LIFE WAS IN DANGER....As I said in the previous message...it was a hot Friday afternoon and they wanted to get the hell home and have a cold beer.....NEVER AGAIN TEPPERMAN'S NEVER AGAIN....Kudo's to Brian and Wioletta for going to bat for me...but their hands were tied im not totally in agreement that they supported the delivery teams decision....when I worked in retail, the customer always came first....a little hint for your company.....
