Very Poor Customer Service
I own a Dodge 1 ton dually that I use commercially to pull RV's. I purchased the truck used in 2014 and the prior owner had installed an aftermarket overdrive. In March 2015 I was having problems with the overdrive and, after reading so many positive reviews (I now wonder if the reviews are from real people) I took the truck to B&N.
They recommended that I remove the overdrive and install a new clutch. B&N was well aware of what I used the truck for and, although I have no expertise in the matter of clutches, I assumed they would install a clutch appropriate to that use.
I paid B&N in excess of $3000 for the work and by February 2016 I was having issues shifting into lower gears. I took it to B&N assuming that an adjustment was necessary only to be told that I needed another clutch.
When I questioned them as to why the clutch had failed after such a short period of time I was told it was my fault as I had not stopped often enough when hauling an RV to allow the clutch to cool down! REALLY! Kind of like shooting the messenger when you installed poor quality in first instance in order to maximize your profit.
I have since installed a South Bend Heavy Duty clutch designed for hauling (as the clutch B&N installed should have been) which cost me $1800 installed.
I write reviews on a regular basis, both positve and negative, where deserved, but I believe that most of the B&N reviews are not genuine.
