My almost transmission problem
Took my old car down to the shop .The chief tranny guy looked at it and commented that he wouldn't want to involved with something that old --and of european make. He did however allow the car to be put up on the hoist--and as he suspected, the noise I was hearing was not a transmission problem. They rectified the problem at minimal cost and left me to drive home whistling and smiling. It was just that extra caring step that made all the difference.GOOD PR guys.

Carburetor Fixed
I took my Mercedes Benz to B & N Transmission to repair the carburetor. The car had some leakage underneath and I was recommended to this company. It took them a day to finish the repair and when I got the car back I was very supersized on how well the performance became. What a difference it makes to have the right mechanic look after your car. I am glad I took my chances with them, and would definitely recommend them to others.

Very Poor Customer Service
I own a Dodge 1 ton dually that I use commercially to pull RV's. I purchased the truck used in 2014 and the prior owner had installed an aftermarket overdrive. In March 2015 I was having problems with the overdrive and, after reading so many positive reviews (I now wonder if the reviews are from real people) I took the truck to B&N.
They recommended that I remove the overdrive and install a new clutch. B&N was well aware of what I used the truck for and, although I have no expertise in the matter of clutches, I assumed they would install a clutch appropriate to that use.
I paid B&N in excess of $3000 for the work and by February 2016 I was having issues shifting into lower gears. I took it to B&N assuming that an adjustment was necessary only to be told that I needed another clutch.
When I questioned them as to why the clutch had failed after such a short period of time I was told it was my fault as I had not stopped often enough when hauling an RV to allow the clutch to cool down! REALLY! Kind of like shooting the messenger when you installed poor quality in first instance in order to maximize your profit.
I have since installed a South Bend Heavy Duty clutch designed for hauling (as the clutch B&N installed should have been) which cost me $1800 installed.
I write reviews on a regular basis, both positve and negative, where deserved, but I believe that most of the B&N reviews are not genuine.

B and N scumbags
Although touted to be the best in Ottawa I hope there are better. I had a transmission rebuilt at BandN they had to remove the transfer case to get at the transmission, well they forgot to put the gear oil back in the transfer case after working on the transmission and the transfer case melted down - 1400 bucks later that was fixed. They said they didn't know what happened but it was obvious, less than 100kms on the t case in the city and it was toast.

I also supplied the parts for the rebuild and they charged me 20 percent extra because they said that is what they usually make on parts that they buy and install. I had to supply the parts because the truck is an import and they couldn't get the parts.

They worked on my buddy's truck and the tranny blew later as well. Do not trust them, they do not cover their faulty workmanship, they do not tell the truth.

A very dissappointing experience.
