Horrible Customer Service July/09/2015
I purchased a fridge last month. I asked if they could switch the handle to the other side of the fridge door. The cost was 20.00. I received the fridge and noticed 2 to 3 weeks later the handle was getting loose. I called Tepperman's Customer Care Team. I informed them the handle had come loose and would like it tightened. They said it wasn't there fault and it was a warranty issue. I said how so? You are the people who switched the handle. She was adamant that it was a warranty issue. I called LG and set up a service call. July/09/2015 and anywhere between 9am-5pm they would show up. Playing with our schedule we made it possible for someone to be home all day. LG service showed up and said the handle was installed upside down and he had corrected the issue at no cost to me.

Customer care put me on hold and came back saying they would not credit me, and that they had installed the handle properly. She also said the problem was resolved so why should they have to refund the money. I said its because I paid for a service that was not done correctly, and for the hassle of having someone wait around my home all day on Thursday to come and correct Tepperman's mistake. I said is it worth it for me to drive to the store, pay off the balance of my fridge and close my account for $20.00? She said it was up to me. I drove there saw a friend who works there I told him what happened. He went to the managers office and came back out asking for my phone # and that the manager would call me the following day. The manager saw me and didn't even bother to come out to talk to me he just sent my friend out instead. Really? For $20.00?
I paid off the balance and closed my account. I had a $7500.00 credit, and they lost it over 20 bucks. Not very good business.
What bothers me even more is I paid a $149,00 plus tax administration fee for nothing, because I paid the fridge off in full. The money I used to pay the fridge off was intended for home renovations, and it will be cancelled all because of the horrible service I received over the phone and at the store. One person who works there took the time to listen to me and understood how I felt, and for that I thank her. Knowing our renovations are now cancelled and lost my administration fee. I paid off my account and closed it, based on principle.

Even though everything in my previous review happened, I felt I had to write another because Karen from Tepperman's called me today to discuss what had happened. She was very polite and addressed all my issues. Not getting into great detail, but the matter is resolved due to great customer care. In our conversation she had mentioned that she read the review online, which made me very happy. It shows that Karen cares about her customers by reading the reviews posted online. Both Karen and Angela were genuinely upset that the incident had gotten this far. Angela was the person I spoke with the day I went to the store with my initial complaint. I felt she was the only one that took the time to listen to me that day. Angela new how upset and frustrated I was and was still very professional and caring . Karen and Angela ratified my concerns. Thank you both very much for clearing everything up. With that being said, my family and I will shop at Tepperman's again. Off topic I read some of the other reviews about the delivery team and I have to agree, they were always on time and professional.
