This place does their best to appear great, but if you get down to it, they help themselves only.
5x5 I was told was 40$ a month for 4 months. Then they told me they were not sure what it would cost after and that it would be around 90. This seemed standard until 2 weeks ago when I was given a 180$ bill and told if I don't want to pay there "regular rate" I could be out in 2 weeks but after the 2 weeks I'd be charged.
How does a 40$ unit even quadruple in price!!! 2 weeks notice?
Find yourself a storage place that cares about their customers. This place stops caring after you sign the papers.

I had a wreck of a day before arriving to Storage Mart, Farha the very nice, patient and considerate lady wasn't saving grace when I arrived. She was more than happy to help, offer emotional support and even came back to pick me up when the uber left me stranded. Faith in humanity restored 🤗
Mrs Farah was so helpful and she was cheerful person. Her knowledge and communication skills were great.
It was a great experience today with Storage Mart at 1111 42 Ave SE. Farha was very kind, friendly, and helpful. She patiently answered my question and clarified my concerns with her honest. Moreover, she showed me two different size of storage units and explained the difference between the two and the prices of each. Really appreciate for her diligence and excellent customer service. In addition, the Storage Units are very clean and the hallway is very spacious for moving bigger items. Highly recommended this local of Storage Mart.
First time at this location and Maddie was awesome. She helped me with everything from getting the unit I need to getting me a lock and showed me around the facility. Everything was explained and I was asked if I have any questions. Amazing customer service.

We picked this location because of the reviews and being close to home.
After multiple attempts to contact this location and providing proof of our own insurance they still insist on charging me for their insurance coverage.
I have rented from another Storage Mart in the past 3 years, provided the exact same insurance and had no issues with having them waive their insurance coverage.
Why all of a sudden you won't accept my insurance coverage? It literally says in your paperwork if I have proof which I provided proof you will waive your coverage. Now I'm paying for double coverage when I didn't have to in the first place because this location will not accept my proof of insurance.
Really disappointed with this location and I would appreciate the head office of Storage Mart to contact me in this matter.

Truthfully not a great first time experience. Communication could have been better. Rented on the 28th and assumed when there were only a few days left in the month they would include both months in the payment that was made. Nope. No warning until 5th that we were locked out and had to pay to get access. Also lost the promo discount for the month. When I called was told refer to the agreement (multipage legal document) that had to pay on time or this would happen. Thought being a first time customer and still getting to know things they would have been bit more sympathetic. Response was basically a hard no to get discount back. Unit was clean and access was great.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with StorageMart. I rented a unit starting on Dec 30. On Jan 10 my unit was broken into. The security measures at this facility are clearly inadequate. They refuse to let me see the security footage.
To make matters worse, the customer service was appalling. When I asked if I could move to a different unit, they said I could—but I would lose my introductory rate. So, despite the fact that their lack of security failed me, they wanted to charge me more to move to a different unit.
It’s unacceptable that StorageMart puts profits over customer safety and satisfaction. If you value your belongings, do not store them here.

Very happy with Storage Mart, other than one paperwork error that was made by them which resulted in us being locked out of our storage unit. The error was quickly resolved and our access restored.
I rented a parking spot from Farha and was very satisfied! The location is convenient, clean, and safe for my car. Farha was very friendly and professional, clearly explaining everything and making the process quick and easy. The parking is in a great location, and the rental terms are very reasonable.

Updating my review - I went to upgrade to a larger storage unit for my recent move. Farha was a great help with the process of me booking a larger unit and explaining timings/deadlines for me to cancel my previous unit. She's always helpful and I'm happy with my decision to book at this location.

I had a great experience with Farha at this location. Started renting out a space this month and so far I’ve had a great experience. Farha explained the details of the contract and answered all my questions brilliantly. Amazing customer service from Farha. Will definitely recommend this for your storage needs.

Very Clean. No clutter. David and Farha are both excellent. David is new and in training but has an excellent attitude and is very pleasant to deal with. Farah was very good at explaining all the details clearly. Thank you both.

Arriving at the location, everything was as discussed except the promo. That’s a red flag that I didn’t heed, with a first charge that was 100 percent more than discussed. I then asked what subsequent charges were going to be. “About X,” was the response, which I was content with. On the first invoice, I was charged an amount that’s greater by more than 50 percent of X. So the hazy word “about” means more than 50 percent, in your world. I was also told that the current charge would last for four months, beyond which the charge would go “up.” I’m certainly not going to hang around, unheeding this second red flag, to find out what another hazy word “up” means.

I had a fantastic experience at Storage Mart! Maddy was incredibly helpful and made the whole process easy and stress-free. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of her way to ensure I got exactly what I needed. Highly recommend Storage Mart, especially if you get to work with Maddy!

I signed up online for a storage unit on July 31st, paid the fees, and signed the lease agreement. Nowhere in the information provided was it mentioned that I needed to check in at the facility in person to keep my unit.
Today, I received an email saying my unit had been released so I called the customer care line. After a 15-20 minute wait, a rude customer service rep transferred me to Farrah, who said she was new and couldn’t be of much help. She mentioned my spot was taken because I didn’t show up in person. For me it is very convenient having a storage unit since I am enjoying a more minimalistic lifestyle.
Today I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Farha and how she is always pleasant whether by phone or in person. She is accommodating and I appreciate her patience. She implements a great and positive attitude and is very good at her job. Not only that — she seems to love her job and is personable too.
I really like being recognized and getting a friendly wave or a hello when I come in. It makes coming it that much more enjoyable.

I got assisted by Maddy today she was a tremendous help! We chatted about the prices, security and safety of my things! She was super polite, professionnel, friendly and knowledgeable! I will definitely be sending my friends to her in the future!
