I recently had a disappointing experience at the Best Buy Merivale store. Knowing which TV I wanted before arriving, I located it and sought assistance from an associate. After catching his eye, I approached him and asked for help. He brought the TV over to his desk, but instead of checking me out, he redirected me to the cashiers at the front when I informed him I was paying in cash.
The associate left me at a cashier's area without further assistance, and I was unsure whether I needed to wait in the long line that I saw. He informed me that the two cashiers were currently busy with returns in that long line and that they would assist me when they had finished. I remained at the cashier spot, feeling ignored after waiting for 10 minutes. Eventually, I approached the greeter and asked her to call a cashier so I could complete my purchase. Finally, a clerk arrived to help me.
In my opinion, the associate should have either checked me out before leaving or called a cashier to assist me. Unfortunately, this lack of customer service has left me hesitant to return to this Best Buy location, despite it previously being my go-to store for electronics, Bluetooth speakers, and TVs.

We had bought a home theatre system in January 2007 and something went wrong with it. We went to Best Buy on Merivale Road in Ottawa and they told us we could have a staight exchange. Also, because they did have the same system in stock, they gave us one comparable to the one we originally purchased, even though it was more expensive then our original one.
We have bought several items from this store and will continue to do so.
