Allandale Veterinary Hospital

I would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants the best care for their pet family members. I have two beautiful felines who love their vet (how many people can say that about their pets' experiences?). Further, they understand my pets' needs as well as my own. They may not be the least expensive, but that's not what I'm looking for. I trust them with my furry kids and that makes them worth every penny.

I HAVE A DOG NAME MAX HE HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL AND BACK AND THE STAFF AND DOCTORS AT ALLEDALE ARE EXELLENT IN MY EYE DR LECHTEN SAVED MY DOG LIVE MANY TIMES. YES IT IS EXPENSIVE BUT EVERYWHERE ELES IS TOO. I WILL ALWAYS GO THERE THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND THE PLACE IS WELL CLEANED AND THEY DO LOOK AFTER THE ANIMALS WELL EVER ONE HAS A OPIOION BUT SOMETIMES TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THEY DO THEY ARE GREAT AT IT LOVE THEM ALL

I have been going to Allandales for several years with my 2 dogs and have always found them very expensive, but they were good to my dogs so I continued until my last visit there. My puppy was put on a steroid, we were not explained that the pill we were putting her on was a steriod, we were told it was to help with her allergies... When we found out that she was on a steriod we were extremely upset, we would never put ourselves on one so why would we put our little girl on one... When we expressed our concern the staff and vet at Allandales laughed at us as if we should have known what the drug was... Hmm correct me if I'm wrong but this is why I have a vet, because they go to school to learn about animals.
Both my husband and I felt as though the vet clinic could care less about our feelings and instead had more fun lauging it up....
needless to say we have switched vets!!

I have been going to this clinic with my two dogs for several years. I have always found them to be faily expensive, but they were close to our home and seemed to be faily good with our animals...
I will say however that I am extremely disappointed with the vet and the staff at Allandales. We were given a prescription for our puppy and not explained at all that what we were giving our little girl was a steroid!! I believe that it is very important to go through all details when it comes to medicaiton, we never ever would have chossen to put our puppy on somehting that we never would take ourselves.
We were also not impressed by the young staff laughing and making jokes about us not knowing anything about the medications...
The staff is paid to understand the medications and that is why we reply on them.
If it were not for these few actions we would probably stay clients at Allandales, but have since chossen to go elsewhere.
