U-Haul Moving & Storage at Taunton Rd

Currently writing this review whIle having my trailer hitch wiring (hopefully) fixed. I went to Uhaul for a hitch install on my Audi Q5 because their price was significantly lower than the dealership. When I first arrived, I was told they get all of the Audi contracts and they are very experienced with my car specifically. I booked my car in for a morning appointment the next week and was told it would be ready in 2 hours. After 2 hours I went to pick it up and they needed more time. Not to mention, they never answer the phone, and after a few rings it forwards to their national help line where they just say that they cant help. Then I received a phone call at work that my hitch was faulty, so I made another appointment. After arriving at this appointment I was told 1.5 hours. So I went back after 2 hours and (surprise) they need another hour and a half. I waited and eventually got my car and thought everything was good. Two weeks later, I hooked up a trailer for the first time (that I rented from another company) only to realize my trailer lights weren't working. I went back to the location and they said they don't have a hitch specialist in so I should drive to Peterborough because they have someone in there. After driving an hour, I waited 4 hours just to be told that the Oshawa location installed the wrong wiring box and did the wiring wrong. They also said that they didn't have the proper box in stock. After driving back to Oshawa I went back to Uhaul the next morning and told them what happened. Without so much as an apology, they said they'll bring my car into the shop and look at it. The tech said everything looked right and I explained the problem. This is now my third hour here and I'm still waiting while listening to the tech complain about how hot it is and how stupid the wiring in my car is. It's becoming absolutely rediculous. Wish I could give less than one star.

Wasted resources:
- Hours wasted waiting for my car: 13 (so far)
- Half a tank of gas
- Unused Trailer rental

In the end, they offered me a voucher for a truck rental but I was able to negotiate the value of the hitch wiring (the cheapest part which didn't come close to the amount of the gas and trailer rental, not to mention my time) And I'm still waiting for an apology.

We booked a 26' moving truck from this location do execute our move from Toronto to Whitby. We booked the truck about 6 weeks in advance and we are glad we did. When we went to pick up the truck there were two customers in front of us trying to book trucks for later in the week - and became very frustrated to hear that they were already booked full for the month. July is a busy moving season. When we got the truck is was clean and in great shape, we had the truck for a full 12 hours and when we brought it back the guy who signed our gas gauge read it on a slop, so it didn't register the 25$ of gas we just put in. When the rep inside went to charge us for the gas, we showed her the gas receipt and she had no problem taking the charge off. All in all a great moving experience. Total cost to move from Toronto to Whitby with a dolly and 20 furniture blankets, gas and insurance = $190... Not to bad!

I called Uhaul (I won't say which one) several times and received NO answer....I even got to the main menu once but when they connected me the phone just kept ringing and ringing and ringing...How do they expect to get any customers if they don't even answer their phones???...so frustrating!!!
