Visited this location to get quotes for a unit, and was greeted by Anu incredibly exceptional service and extremely knowledgeable. 5/5 stars would definitely recommend dealing with him!

After i reserved a unit through the phone with great customer service, a very kind lady followed up with a call from the store within 2 minutes. When i arrived, Anu and the lady were very friendly, genuine and accommodating. We had a deep and meaningful conversation with Anu while he was showing me the unit and all the elevators and premises. He offered me bottled water even if there was a water dispenser with cups available and the lady offered me some mints while i was filling the contract. To top it, their prices are much better than the competition nearby.

*On the other hand, the unit itself is not the newest build and remember, it's downtown Toronto.

Wouldn't have rented without the help and knowledge of the two gentlemen in the office. Very kind, very detailed, very informative. I will be raving about Public Storage Dupont to all my friends and family. Thank you for setting me up so efficiently.

Don't normally review on the internet, but the Public Storage Co.'s Dupont St. location in Toronto has the best staff!. While it ticks all the usual boxes for cleanliness and convenience, the staff are the nicest people and go out of their way to help. It's been a pleasure dealing with them.

Susie was awesome, patiently explained to us the various options and answered all our questions, also took the time to show us the units.

Manager was excellent in facilitating my situation and availing options that suited my needs. His professionalism is greatly appreciated

Nice storage complex. Manager Charith is a really nice guy and is happy to help. Some of the units obstructed by buildings support pillars and there is no heat in this storage but prices are decent.
Note: twelve foot clearance for moving trucks to get access close to most units. If not you need to take the more expensive storage units to not be far walk.

Sophia took care of the entire selection and set-up process for my storage. I am a college student and this was my first time getting a storage unit and she was very patient with me answering all my questions and walking me through the prices and even giving me advice as to what unit would work best and deals I was eligible for. She was calm friendly and transparent through the whole process. Highly recommend

Avoid this place at all costs. The only good thing about this place is the friendly/helpful front desk staff. You are better off storing your stuff on the side of A street (any one!) and hoping for the best.

My gf and I are in the process of buying a house and we decided to put our stuff into storage and move into a smaller place with no lease till we get our place. We picked public storage based on location/convenience. There weren't too many reviews. My gf signed the lease to the locker (this would later come back to haunt us) while I was unloading something from the back of the car.

We started with a quick tour of the place by the friendly front-desk man. He showed us to our locker which was smaller than we expected and there was an opening at the top on both sides (about a foot and half). Enough room for your neighbours to climb into your locker and rummage through your stuff. He said each locker was individually armed (only the door), which is disarmed when you punch in the code to enter the place and rearmed when your punch in the code to leave. This sounded great. I then asked what happens after hours when the alarm goes off, response was "nothing, no security after hours". I appreciated his honesty. They do have cameras everywhere, this will definitely come in handy when trying to identify which masked person was walking away with your stuff (in no hurry). While we were there, we heard the piercing alarm go off at least 3-4 times. A loud shriek for about 30 seconds echoing through the halls and then silence (that could only mean the perpetrator had been apprehended and everyone's stuff was safe). He explained that sometimes the alarm went off when someone didn't disarm their locker properly but they just ignored it during the day mostly.

We bought the insurance they offered us (the sales pitch worked).

Moving in was a breeze (not!) and we packed our locker to the brim expecting never to see any of these items till we moved into our new place. A month goes by and apart from one quick stop to grab something, our locker stays relatively unattended (I did heave a sigh of relief when we returned when I saw our stuff was still there).

We get a call on Friday. "please drop off your keys at the front desk before they close as there is a pipe in your locker that needs to be fixed ASAP". We both work and thus cannot make it into the office before close (6.30 PM). The next morning we have to leave toronto at 8am for some tailbone smashing snowboarding fun but we can't leave the city before dropping off the key as they stressed on how important it was that they tend to it this weekend. We were sure we made the right choice in picking storage facilities. Slightly grumpy at the fact that it was so early, we made our way to the office to drop off the keys. They didn't open till 9.30. We hid the key as they had no mailbox and informed them of the location. Days go by.

MY GF (name on the lease) gets a call today (5 days later) asking HER to come in and move OUR stuff into another locker as THEY have to repair the pipe passing through our locker. My gf naturally objects to having to go in there and move everything all over, she does however offer for us to do it if they possibly credit us for a month or maybe some other sort of reimbursement or have them move it to another locker for us as this was not our fault. They too (naturally?) objected to this. This went back and forth for a bit and ended at a stalemate. My gf then asks me to call in and speak with them as she had given up. I call in and get to speak to an extremely brusque/rude employee. I ask her if we could discuss this situation. She asked me if my name was on the lease (refer to 2nd paragraph) to which I replied no, she then said she had nothing to say to me and would only speak with my gf. I tried reasoning and said we live together and threw in words like commonlaw and house-hunting. She said there was absolutely no way she would speak to me. I said we shared the locker and the bill, that didn't matter either. This was clearly an exercise in futility. I asked to speak to a manager (this always works I thought). She replied telling me she was the district manager. A position she had clearly acquired by being the biggest ____ (be creative and british). I asked if we can all sit down and talk about it. She said she could talk to my gf but wouldn't talk to me. I asked for clarification: "if we were sitting in the same room, the three of us, you wouldn't listen to any of my comments/suggestions?" she replied "NO!" I then suggested we sit down any ways and I would relay my messages to my gf and similar to a game of chinese whispers/broken telephone, I would succeed in having a conversation with her. She gave me her number and asked me to schedule an appointment and she would try to accommodate us into her VERY BUSY schedule. Great! We're getting somewhere!! (SARCASM!!!)

I suggested to my gf that we conference call her so we can resolve this issue as she might never be able to pencil us in being the VERY BUSY district manager of a bunch of storage facilities. My gf used the conference call feature for the first time on her iphone and patched the 2 of us to a woman on the other end (this was NOT the same woman, our DM was probably off being VERY BUSY somewhere else). This woman panicked when she heard my voice jump in a minute into the conversation. I had caught her off guard. We would now be able to topple her resolve and win! She then gathered herself and said she would NOT speak with me. My gf now furious proceeded to explain that we live together and share the locker. I chimed in that I owned the physical lock/key to assert my role in this debacle. She proceeded to explain that only ONE person could have dealings with the locker and this person was NOT me. My gf then asked her to move the stuff to a different locker so they could do their work. This suggestion was rejected as well. The employee was able to suggest that they could do the work and move our stuff into the hallway while the work was being done. I .. I mean my gf replied that if they could do so, wouldn't they just be able to move the stuff to the NEARBY locker (that they had so graciously offered, mind you this place has 4 floors and each floor has approx 200-400 lockers, the locker right below would also qualify as a nearby locker). No this was not possible (of course!) they could only move it to the hallway and then back in. They win. We accept defeat and I felt compelled to write my first review/short story.

Conclusion: Do not use their services as their DM is a ______ and you may (or may not) experience everything we did. You will however NOT win. Your stuff is protected by a pad lock, a flimsy fence, security cameras that don't see through face masks, narrow hallways (a theft deterrent right there) a key code to enter/exit that can be obtained by standing outside for a few mins when a car comes in/leaves, a piercing alarm (that is ignored during the day and unattended to at night), good faith and a DM who is a ______ and is probably guarding all sites personally which is why she is so VERY BUSY.

I could not ask for better service and a better facility than Public Storage at Dupont and Ossington in Toronto. It has been so outstanding that I brought my 16 year old son into introduce him to the staff as a role model to him of customer service at its best.
