They reached out and helped find reasonable solutions and I am very happy. with how wonderful they were when specking to me, as I have been in a bad situation and it's been hard to reach out. Thank you so much you guys. I plan on getting a unit once my card arrives and I'm able to. Your amazing group of people, Definitely going to tell my friends and family.

I normally don’t take the time to write reviews about storage units, but my experience with Sentinels Rental specifically the manning location was frustrating enough that I feel people should be aware before choosing to do business here.

First, the location itself is poorly set up for customers. They advertise customer parking, but when I arrived, the only spaces available were taken by their own staff. This meant I had to scramble for somewhere else to park, which is not ideal when you’re dealing with moving boxes and heavy items. Customer parking should be prioritized for customers — not employees. Not to mention I’m a handicap and there’s zero accessible parking- that again staff were parked in.

Second, and more importantly, the customer service was extremely disappointing. When I went in to set up my own storage unit, the two women at the front desk were dismissive and carried themselves with an unnecessarily sassy, unprofessional attitude. Rather than listening to my situation, they shut me down immediately.

Here’s the issue: my ex already has a unit at this facility. Because of that, they canceled my request for my own unit — solely because we shared the same address at the time. The irony is that my ex was the one who suggested I get my own unit in the first place, since we are separating households and need to divide belongings. Instead of understanding that separation is exactly why I needed a separate unit, I was flatly told “no” and given the option to simply keep paying for his unit instead.

To me, this is not only poor customer service but also extremely short-sighted business practice. Storage facilities exist to provide flexibility, especially in situations like moving, separating, or downsizing. Refusing someone their own account because their ex already has one tied to a previous shared address makes no sense. A little common sense and compassion would have gone a long way here.

Overall, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and inconvenienced. Between the lack of proper parking for customers and the dismissive, unhelpful attitude of the staff, I cannot recommend Sentinels Rental Storage. There are plenty of other facilities that understand customer service and are more than willing to work with people going through major life transitions.

I’ve used many storage facilities over the years, but Sentinel was by far the best! The unit accessibility, smooth check-in and check-out process, convenient location, and—most importantly—the friendly, helpful staff made all the difference. Thank you for the excellent service!

Great service. Everyone at the office is very pleasant. Prince who showed me the facility and the unit. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Shelby is awesome as well. She helped me all throughout the move. From the customer service rep to visiting the facility in-person was smooth and efficient. The surveillance is updated. It’s easy to access to drive-up unit. I rented the unit for 3 months and it was very reasonable. Highly recommend. Thanks team!

We needed a storage locker for a short period, and Sentinel made the whole process easy with flexible unit sizes and great promotions. This is our second time using this location, and both experiences have been excellent.

Shelby deserves special recognition—she’s detail-oriented and one of the few people who still genuinely provides service with a smile. Every time we interacted with her, she was friendly and upbeat, which made our day a little brighter.

Thank you, Shelby, for taking care of us when we needed it most. We’ll definitely return if we need storage again!

I had a great experience with Sentinel Storage! The pricing was fair and competitive, but what really stood out was the excellent customer service. Prince was absolutely amazing friendly, helpful, and made everything so easy. Curtis and Laureen were also phenomenal, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for reliable storage with top-notch service!

Excellent customer service! Manager Shelby is professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Shelby made what I thought was going to be a long tedious process smooth and quick. She was quick to inform me of their security measures to ensure my belonging are safe and secure.

The absolute worst customer service. They will gladly take your money and then tell you that you need a major credit card when you go there and then they won't refund your money for 6 - 10 days and tell you that's how everyone does it. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not rent from these people as they don't care about anything but your money.

I rented a storage locker for 6 months. The staff in the office at 410 Manning Rd SE are delightful, professional, and thoughtful! If I need storage in the future. I'll be calling them. Thanks!

Sentinel Storage in central Calgary is clean and well-maintained with friendly and helpful staff. However, there’s no designated parking inside to unload your items, and the location is a bit out of the way, which can feel unsafe at night. The unheated boxes are very low temperature inside in the winter bear in mind. Overall, decent storage option if you don’t mind the inconvenience.

Friendly staff. Had a slight issue with their payment, system issue initially but they were nice and accommodating to get it fixed. Location is super clean. Felt valued as a customer here for sure

Shelby is amazing! She was helpful and patient while I was trying to find a locker on the telephone. She picked the perfect locker for me (door in the middle!) and was very knowledgeable at explaining how everything works at Sentinal Storage. Thank you!! Would highly recommend.

Great service! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about there facility. There is no hidden expectations. They are easy to understand over the phone. They patrol the grounds and call you if they find a problem. I would recommend!

Shelby was excellent to work with. She was very knowledgable and informative regarding the policies with Sentinel and wasted no time in making sure I had all of the information I needed.
Looking forward to using their services.

Update. The desk ladies and the GM are actually pretty cool. Had to get my lock cut and they were same day getting it done
So For them it's definitely a 5 star....

Super restrictive, forces you to buy an over priced lock just to gouge your wallet deeper and make you by insurance you may not actually need... You don't get no choice.

The corporate over lords imposes dumb rules well outside of reason for renting a unit.... Seems like it was designed to treat everyone like a homeless person trying to sleep in the unit.

However. Free month is useful and the employees are chill.

Sentinel Storage on Manning is the best storage facility I've dealt with! Sarah was very friendly and knowledgeable and my whole experience booking, unloading and securing my unit went as smoothly as possible. They're hours of operation are great, having access to my unit from early morning to late at night, works well for me. Thank you Sentinel for being there for me, when I needed you. I'm grateful for your awesome service.

Shelby and the team at the Manning Road location for Sentinel Storage are fantastic. I started with an option that wasn't right for me, and they allowed me to change my service part way through the month and shift into something that would work. I was provided with a thorough overview of the policies' timelines and given a walkthrough of the facility at the time of my walkthrough and sign-in process. Shelby was polite, attentive, courteous and very knowledgeable. This location has heated options available and has excellent security. I appreciate the team and wanted to give a shout-out for the help. I may need to upgrade my locker, as honestly, I miscalculated how much stuff I actually had.

The entire process from booking online, needing help from the office staff on move in day to checking out went smoothly. My storage unit was clean and easily assessable.

[I think I posted already] Sentinel Storage at its Manning location provided much-needed space during a family emergency, with the choice of enclosed (roofed) storage a big help during Calgary's iconic winter weather. Staff are friendly, caring and courteous. We had time to sort, reduce and distribute the material goods (photos at varying stages.) I gladly recommend this site.
