Koyman Galleries

I got ripped off! I purchased a custom framed limited edition print years ago at Koyman Galleries when it was in Toronto. Years later, the print had a wave in it so since Koyman was no longer in Toronto, I contacted a reputable gallery in the GTA. When the frame was removed by the gallery, it was discovered that the print was glued and scotch taped to the backing! This is not how you mount a limited edition print! It is now worthless! I searched for the name Koyman Galleries on the internet and found it in Ottawa, so I contacted them to see if this was the same gallery that was in Toronto and it was. I spoke to Eddie and explained the situation and asked him to make it right because I got ripped off; the limited edition print no longer has any value and I paid a lot of money for what is now nothing more than a poster! When I mentioned the sales person's name that was on my receipt, he was not surprised and mentioned that Koyman had issues with him. I sent the photo of the print showing the scotch tape and offered for him to get in touch with the gallery I took it to in order to speak to the owners and staff to confirm what I described. He strung me along for 2 years giving me the impression that he would make it right, but when I found the print in the U.S. at a reasonable price, he told me he can't help me. Do not trust this gallery, it doesn't know what it is doing and it is dishonest. They're a bunch of crooks! If I could give a zero rating, I would.
