Don's Photo Shop Ltd

My family went to Dons's photo Dakota yesterday for a passport photo, the guys who was assigned to take a picture just took a shot to my2 yeAr old daughter, without even checking the shot he said " ok good next" even our shot, its just one click, no checking if its ok or not.. When he hand me the copy if the picture holy cow it was SOOOO DARKKKK i asked the guy if this is the quality of their photo He said "yes" thats why its cheaper!!!! Poor passposrt photo quality, i will never go back to this, for $12.99 photo in minutes, it a garbage!!!

We went to Don's Photo at 845 Dakota Street Winnipeg to get my child's passport photo as I expected professional photo service there. It turned out to be a really bad passport photo experience. A female staff member there demanded payment up front and I paid. She took a quick picture of my child without showing the picture to me before printing. While we were in the washroom, she packaged everything without showing us the final product and told me not to open the photos for 10 minutes. When I looked at the picture, I was not satisfied with the quality. However, they refused to re-take, and the staff member rolled her eyes implying that I was a picky customer.

The only bright side of this experience is that it forced me to go to another photo place at Costco. They took a much better picture with better quality and they captured a good neutral expression of my child at half of the price. I will never go back to Don's Photo. With the bad experience at Don's Photo, I really appreciated the higher level of customer service and the product at Costco.

I ordered a DVD to be copied and when I went back to pick it up my order wasn't ready. They acknowledged their mistake and had it ready for me the next day...free of charge !! Excellent customer service !!!

I am not a professional photographer; but rather a good amature. Everytime I shop at Don's, I find their sales staff helpful and knowledgeable. You get the best deals at Don's. You will get the best deal deals on camera equipment go to Don's. My experience is that they are swayed less by sales than getting the right piece of equipment in the hands of the photographer at a price you can afford. If you, however, you are looking to develop small orders of prints, say, 4x6 of the family dog, Don's is not the place to go. If you want a large print of something special with the best colours and top quality, then Don's is the place to go.

Don's photos is great if you are a professional photographer perhaps and need specialized photo supplies, but it is the pits for the average consumers. Having photos reproduced there is very expensive. They make you pay for everything. The service was also not very helpful. Having photos developed there gave me a good reason to continue doing my business at Shopper's Drug Mart or Wal-Mart.
