General Paint

This is the only paint store that I go to now. Both the service and the quality of the paint are good. The answer I get is not always "yes" which means they are realistic and honest about the possibilities. No matter how busy it gets, once it is your turn, attention is focused just on you. Appreciate that!

The manager knows what he's talking about, assistant manager looks like he's breathed in a few too many paint fumes but, he's good as well.
They always get the match bang on and if not they explain why. I like how they are honest at least.

When I went in to this store to have some paint colour matched, the manager told me it wouldn't be possible to get the paint for twenty-four hours. When I told him I needed the paint sooner than that and was ready to walk away, he miraculously promised to have it ready in an hour, but only after he gave me the hard sell to buy a larger can than what I needed. I picked up the paint an hour later and found out today from my painter that the paint was not colour matched and was a standard white formula that had likely been sitting around already. Obviously all the trim will have to be re-done. I called to complain and didn't even receive an apology, just a request to bring it in so that it could be colour matched. Funny, that's what I thought I had paid for the first time. What a waste of time and money.

Scott helped me with info on paint. He helped me save money too by recommending me to purchase a membership. I have been painting like a mad woman over the Christmas holidays and feel very accomplished with all the work I have done. I was able to give my friend an intrinsic gift too by helping her paint.

Just know that you will get knowedgeabe and supportive staff to make things happen. You can count on them.

My wife and I are expecting our first child and were in the process of renovating our babies room. Jeff was very helpful with choosing a pleasant neutral scheme (we had chosen not to learn our childs sex until birth) and then recommending GP's low VOC paints. We would not have known low odour paints were an option unless Jeff had suggested them. Kudos to the whole team at General Paint. We will be visiting again when we get around to re-doing our kitchen.

I called General Paints to ask for a match for the paint colour to my townhome development, which we moved into 5 years ago. Steve was most helpful. He helped me identify the exact colour, mixed it within 10 minutes while I drove to pick it up. Excellent service!
