It was an amazing cycle class led by Joe. He was very punctual, his music was played throught his computer and was amazing. His cueing was great and his cycle routine throught the class was great as well. He should do more cycle classes at the promenade in the morning . It was a very enjoyable class.
i used to be a member before i moved countries , and i rejoined them once i moved back - i had goals to meet when i joined them , and we discussed them , i had to loose 50 lbs after having 3 kids - the kids kept me busy so i couldn't go to the gym regularly so i started watching my food and working out at home , 6 months went by and i hardly went to the gym ...one day i approached them to ask if i could cancel my membership as its not working out with my schedule and they said NO , which was fine as i had signed a contract and i understand why contracts are in place - the sad part was how they dealt with me when i went to join v/s when i went to cancel , the first thing the lady there told me , BUT YOU SAID YOU HAD GOALS in a very condescending way (she must have left her eye glasses home since she couldn't see i lost 50lbs ) and then she sprung the policy and contract on me and asked to pay the full amount if i want to cancel , however i decided to transfer the membership over to my sister and emailed them - my sister went in the next day and transferred the membership over , and they still charged me the regular payment after i had informed them that my sister will be taking over the membership and not to mention they charged her $25 to take over the membership as an "admin fee " when i asked them to reverse the payment as my sister had taken over she simply told me to take it from my sister
sure , ill go to my sister and take a payment from her - fyi to who ever owns this club / franchise - this is not how you manage a business that primarily deals with people & their well being , you need to be a bit more human and willing to work with people to keep them coming back - not gouge them for petty amounts every chance you get - if i could id rate this club in the negative - i will leave this review on every site i can find

I have been training with Josse for the past three years. It has been a life changing experience. Josse is an amazing trainer. Josse challenges me to take my workout to the next level. She encourages me to work my hardest always ensuring my body form is to perfection. Her program designs have helped me to become stronger and take on more difficult challenges in the gym. Josse is personable, fun, easy going and a delight to work with. I look forward to coming to the gym. If you are considering a personal trainer, I would definitely recommend Josse.
I have been taking tribe core with Debra since the spring. When I started i could hardly do anything I had no strength and certainly no stomach muscles. I had no waistline. By my son's wedding in August I could start to see a waist and I could were sleeveless as I was starting to see some definition in my arms. Last week when I went back to get my dress from the wedding which was taken I tried it on and it was too big and will need to be taken in. I now have a lot of core strength and my yoga has improved because of it. This is all because of Debra and my team mates who push me constantly in Tribe Core I recommend this program. It is worth the extra cost.
I have been working with Nilou for past four months and I have seen great results. Not only she has a great knowledge of fitness but also she is great understanding of nutrition and health. She is tough and push me to my limit even sometime she surprise me about myself and every time that I say you have too much believe in me!!! she would say you are much stronger and I know you can do this. Her friendly personality make every work out fun but at that the same time challenging. and I love the moment when she says you can have your water break
I would like to commend Adina Conn, the nutritionist at the club, for her excellence! This is the first time that I have been able to relate to a nutritionist and to change my eating habits. I came to see Adina not only for advice on weight loss, but for guidance to allow me to eat properly and feel better. I no longer devour antacids and am not bloated, and have lost weight. She is knowledgeable, expedient and a pleasure to speak to. Adina takes the time to understand the client's needs and is easily accessible by email. First and foremost, she is pleasant and helpful.
I wanted a personal trainer who would meet my requirements including know how to get my body in shape as well as be able to make my workout challenging but exciting. Deborah at the Promenade location has surpassed these expectations. I have been training with Deborah for almost a year and it has been a life changing and extremely awarding experience. Some results were evident within the first few weeks. I have become stronger and more aware of how each workout session is designed to build strength and endurance while targeting the various muscle groups.
Deborah is very motivating and highly knowledgeable, she personalizes every session to accommodate any limitations that I may have on any given day, including symptoms from vertigo. Depending on the challenge that I face she quickly adjusts the workout to meet my needs and she is always willing to accommodate my schedule. I love that Deborah is adept at incorporating diverse routines in order to maximize my results. Whether the focus is on balance and stability, muscle conditioning or developing proper posture Deborah knows how to get you the most results.
I cannot imagine working with any other trainer and neither should you!

Core Tribe is a great addition to my workout routine. I've seen more results from the 2 seasons that I've done, that I did from an entire year of working out on my own. Cecilia is an amazing coach!!
I joined Women Fitness Clubs of Canada (WFCC )in July last year with many hopes and wishes.Despite the fact that I was very determined to lose weight and to look smart, I knew that it will take time. Now, after almost 7 months I am thankful to God that I took the right decision. I have lost weight in Kg and in inches too but above all I feel so much energetic and active. All the credit goes to the club and its most dedicated, enthusiastic and supportive instructors whether they are in a group class or in person. They always remained helpful whenever I sought help from them. My deep gratitude to Melissa for (Abs and Rock Bottom) class, Rebecca for (Yogalates) class and Nadine for( Cycle) class. I immensely enjoyed these classes and my overall stay in the club. But its very unfortunate that I have to leave this amazing (Only for Women) facility by the end of March. If it is not for going to a new home in a new location I would never have left this opportunity. Thanks God I still have one full month to enjoy this clean and nice facility. Thanks to all of you at the Club.

I have really enjoyed the Tribe fitness program offered by Deborah Kim. She is an amazing leader and although the program is very challenging, I look forward to each class.
Highly competent; good natured; patient; supportive; particularly sensitive to needs of recovering couch potatoes; accommodating; available weekends, not Saturday but lots of time slots usually on Sunday's.

I was lucky to have a few sessions with Jossee she is great very knoledgeable and does out of her way to answer guestion.Higly recomenend anyone to train with Jossee.
TRIBE FIT is amazing! Such a challenging program with great results! I am very happy with the trainer, Heather, because really without her, it would not be the same! Amazing motivation from her throughout the whole program. I would highly recommend this program.
The only downside was the time restriction for only one hour, if the class was just booked for at least 90 minutes, it would be beneficial for the workouts where new exercises are introduced.

I have been a member of WFCC Promenade for over a year now and I love it! The staff, facilities, classes, and instructors are great and always willing to help. Highly recommended.
Great variety of classes and many time options. There are a few exceptional instructors Gail being one. Always enthusiastic and upbeat. The gym is always kept clean and equipment well maintained. Sometimes some of the classes are to full however it has never stopped me from being able to participate.
I have been going to this gym for 17 yrs and plan on never giving it up. I LOVE LOVE Gillian as an instructor - she makes it fun - an event and outting with excellent music. She has excellent exercises and engages with her class with humour and big smiles. There's nothing worse than attending a class where all the instructor does is demo the exercise and count the whole time.
I love the variety of classes they offer. All the instructors have great energy and encourage you throughout the class. I love spinning on wednesdays with sandra!!!!she is the best! I also had a great training session with victoria. Keep up the great work!!

Just wanted to comment on March 12, "the snow day". I arrived to Promenade location to attend a class, but all classes got canceled due to a heavy snow. The receptionist Victoria was very sweet about letting me know that the classes were canceled. But then she went on to gently but in a caring way to persuade me that since I am there I should work out anyways. She was so good in her sweet, motivating approach that I ended going for a full hour work-out, and felt great after. Thank you Victoria from promenade.

Very good gym but should be open at least until midnight or 24 hours. Weekends should be open longer as well
The manager at this fitness centre is not interested in customer satisfaction, but moreso in how her staff is treated. She refuses to listen to the point of view of the customer when the employee complains, and always takes the side of the employee. She has even threatened to remove my membership. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right". If not for my fitness trainer, with whom I've had a wonderful relationship for over 6 years, I would have left this fitness centre a long time ago. And if my trainer ever does leave, I go with her.
I am mostly satisfied with this gym, however there are times when I consider looking elsewhere. During peak periods, it's nearly impossible to find an empty locker to store your belongings, there are line ups for the classes, and you're bumping into people everywhere (over capacity). I do like the new hot yoga studio (B), and the new treadmills - nice upgrades. Most of the staff members are nice.
Women's Fitness Promenade is a great gym with outstanding classes. There is a wide variety of classes and instructors. The instructors are inspirational and always motivating, especially Gillian. Gillian's classes are constantly full of fun while still being an amazing workout with great music.
I have been a member since April and LOVE coming to the centre. The staff are friendly (especially love Gail and Barbie!) and classes are a lot of fun.
One thing that I do think needs to be addressed is the number of people allowed in some of the classes. Zumba for example is very popular and many people attend - but you do need your space and the room gets cramped. Also the fact that the number you receive upon registration does not matter. Person number one on the list may be the last to be called to find a spot. I think that you give people plenty of opportunity to pre register, and if they can't manage that they should come early enough to get a "good" number/spot.
Otherwise, I think that the WFC at Promenade is fantastic!
