Home Outfitters

Having shopped at Home Outfitters in a desultory or "ad hoc" fashion over the years, my wife and I see it as providing a reasonably-priced inventory of the wealth of stuff and small appliances needed to outfit the home. Moreover, its staff tend to combine in a satisfactory way friendliness and inventory knowledge.

The selection is good without being superlative. We have often noticed the store's tendency to cluster the selection around a theme - presumably the prevailing fashion - and this can be annoying if you are seeking the "unfashionable". For example, I wanted a vegetable peeler and, vastly preferring the fixed-blade type to the loose-blade type, I was irked to see a wonderful selection of the latter, but only two fixed-blade choices, both of which came only as part of a set!

But all-in-all, you have a good chance of finding the item you want at an acceptable price, and the store is pleasant to visit.
