Cubeit Portable Storage - Calgary

With moving sometimes not going as planned, Cubeit is perfect. Ended up having to store my apartment for a little longer than I thought and had to access some stuff over time. Easy and prompt access, no questions. Customer service is top, never experience such good prompt service.

Moved from Ontario to Alberta and Deirdre (Long Haul Specialist) was wonderful. The containers are spacious and we moved a 3500 sq ft home in 3 - 16' containers. I am a Tetris packer, every foot of the container was filled. Cost was approx. $22K for this move (yes costly, but the ease of filling PODS at your discretion when you have a lag in home close dates, worked for us). Insurance was also covered per POD as well.

Note: they say the container remains level at all times, however this may be the case as there was some movement with the contents when they arrived and we opened the doors. Nothing damaged though, which was good.

Also know that the PUP cubes are only available within the same province NOT inter provincial which we were originally told.

There were some communication confusion between the customer service team and long haul specialist in terms of pickup / delivery times and invoicing. We managed to clarify but this was a bit frustrating.

I had an amazing Cubeit experience from start to finish.
2 particular people helped me out significantly. Christie who dropped off and picked up our Cubeit was amazing, excellent at her job and very personable. Erin at the call centre was helpful, understanding and very efficient. All-in-all this was a 10/10 experience which I have been sharing with my friends and family.

Communication via text updates was perfect when the unit was to be picked up and when it was to be dropped off. Unit was clean. Priced well. Friendly service from the first call to the pickup recall. Even had a great conversation with the driver who picked up the unit.

All around - exceeded my expectations.

The whole process from scheduling delivery and pickup of the storage container to MoveBuddy assisting with securing movers to move my furniture in and out of the container was so smooth and seamless. As a senior, this was so important and definitely helped to reduce my anxiety level. I used the container to store large pieces of furniture while the interior of my home was being painted. The movers were so kind and responsive. I definitely recommend Cubeit and their team for any home project which requires you to move furniture and others items from your home during the project. Thank you so much.

Great service, cube delivered on time and the driver was very pleasant and happy to show us everything about the cube. The Cube also arrived pretty much spotless and in excellent condition. I would certainly recommend Cubeit and use their services again.

Revised as of Aug 28 I had to remove two stars after dealing with the same driver who was so good dropping off the container at first then delivering it to my new place. He wanted to dump it off on the street even though I had accommodated his request to block off space opposite the driveway. He managed to put it where I needed it with a bit of encouragement and guidance. I had been led to believe the empty pickup would be rescheduled sooner than the original 1 month rental date but after calling they say they are fully booked till sept 9 and I am stuck with this container blocking my garage till then.
Sept 10 Update : Yesterday The truck arrived with the same driver on time and in spite of tight quarters the cube was picked up without incident. Interacting with Shannon in customer service was a pleasure and all previous issues I had were quickly addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. I will not hesitate to recommend their service for myself or others.

From the start, reserving online was easy, and the process was clearly laid out. I put in my reservation with relatively short notice.
When speaking with the coordinator on the phone, they did absolutely everything they could to make sure it would work. They were extremely kind and helpful, and willing to do as much as I could, to help make things work for me, which they did.
There was a window of 12 hours when they would be delivering, and I was pleased that it was delivered early in the day so that I had the entire day to use the storage container. Having been a late reservation, I thought most definitely, I would be late in the day, but that was not the case whatsoever.
The people who delivered my container were fantastic, really down to earth and helped explain everything. They gently placed the container on my exposed aggregate driveway, which at first I was concerned about, possibly being unavoidable, small bits of damage, but watching them place the container, they did it so gently and perfectly, there was no way there would be any damage whatsoever. Not only were they professional and gentle with the container. They were also very quick, they had it placed and they were on their way within fifteen minutes.
Being a Canadian-owned and operated company made it even better in my eyes. Their prices were the best that I could find online, paired with the high level of customer service and product quality, I'll make it my one-stop shop for any storage needs I have in the future.
Often, people are more willing to leave a review to identify a negative experience. But I feel that when experiences are fantastic, such as mine was that it is definitely deserving of a great review! These folks are the real deal. Right from the very first phone call to inquire about rates to the empty bin being driven away after our final destination a year later, the service has been top shelf.
We opted for the 16x8x8 bin which was plenty of space for our two bedroom home. I would recommend staging a 16x8 staging space (I taped off in my old dining room with painters tape!) and the loading process will be a breeze. We were lucky to have the same driver (for both trips)!
Our driver was extremely helpful with loading tips and the final unloading process as well.
Customer service and billing were a dream to deal with from setting everything up, to monthly billing and the final arrangements.
Just FYI, you will be paying a lot less than “doing it yourself” (renting a U-Haul, paying for the gas, the multiple trips, multiple loading and unloading, and other expenses and STRESS related to “I can do this by myself!”)
Believe me, we researched all other options before deciding on this route.
I would strongly strongly recommend you give these guys a call. They will NOT disappoint!

Booked our storage vault via phone call and the staff were very friendly and accommodating from the onset.
There was a small hiccup on our pick up date but Fihima of Cubeit worked with me offering alternative dates that work best with our timeline.

Also, they have one of the cheapest rates out there!

We booked a storage unit through Cubeit for a renovation. It was very easy to book and arrange drop off. We booked on the phone and the person we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. It was dropped off at the time we had arranged and the driver was also very friendly. The container worked for what we needed and when we were done I emailed to arrange to have it picked up. It was a very easy process and I would definitely use Cubeit again in the future!

The Cubeit team was great to deal with - friendly and professional. They ensured I had a date set in advance for pickup and kept me informed by email and text. Using this service allowed me to complete my renovations without the hassle of things being in the way. Great service.

Best decision ever... had to sort and move furniture to put new flooring into our house so we decided on dropping a Cube to give us more space! Quick and friendly service, they delivered on schedule and it was clean and ready to fill. Just what we needed to make our renovation easier to manage.

Booking was a breeze and the fellow who dropped of the storage unit was very polite, friendly and professional. He placed it precisely where we wanted it and did it all quickly and with a smile. Yes, I would recommend this company.

I don't ever remember dealing with a company that has such repetitive great customer service! Just because of circumstances, I have spoken to 4 or 5 different employees and every single one was very pleasant, highly prioritized my needs, and generally just created a great experience. Even when one thought she couldn't accommodate me (but she did eventually), she called to apologize! Even the pricing was reasonable. I actually ASKED a couple of them what was different about their company that created a culture where they were able to be so friendly. They said they are well cared for as employees!!!! Fantastic company culture! Plus, the pick up and drop off of Cubes (we have had multiple) has been done fairly quietly and very quickly, while accommodating our placement requests perfectly. We have yet to retrieve a cube from storage but am expecting a great experience.

I used Cubeit to store my household furnishings and then have them shipped. All of the drop off and pick ups went off without a hitch and my goods arrived in perfect condition after having been stored for two years then shipped across 3 provinces. The customer service team were knowledgable, friendly and responded quickly my queries. I'm very happy with the Cubeit service. Thanks Team Cubeit!

Matt was AMAZING! We had a door closing issue after hours and he came by and addressed this! We also had some scheduling hiccups due to being a new area and once again Matt helped us resolve this.

I would recommend that on the confirmation email all dates and addresses for pick ups and drop offs are stated. This would have prevented our scheduling issue.

My husband and I are moving and have a delay in taking possession of our new house, so we chose Cube-it to pack our belongings. The communication on delivery, post delivery has been excellent.The cube was very clean and is easy to use. I would highly recommend cube-it as a storage, moving option!

Update: we completed our use of the container on the 21st. The only pickup day available is the 26th. Zero customer service. Zero flexibility. If we ever need another storage container in the future I will definitely go with another company. The “Client Care Manager” needs a new title. FYI - a few our neighbours have asked why our bin was place crooked on our driveway; nice advertising on your part.

Beware that on delivery day you need to clear vehicles on both sides of the street. We were never warned about this. We recently had a garbage bin placed on our driveway and clearing both sides of the street wasn’t an issue as it was today with our storage bin. Delivery driver had to angle our bin so now we have no use of our driveway for the time we have the cubeit bin.

Customer service has been excellent. The delivery driver was very personable and took time to explain everything and showed me how to open and close the latch on the cube. Will definitely recommend Cubeit to friends and family.

Very pleased with our experience when moving from Calgary to Cochrane! The containers were great and had excellent securing points for inside the container. The delivery driver and all other staff I talked to on the phone were friendly and professional.
