My great grandmother Theresa LaManna carried this classic recipe with her when she traveled thousands of miles across the Atlantic to her new home in America. Here, she started her family and taught her children her secrets to delicious tasting tomato sauce that was the foundation in preparing all her favorite Italian dishes.
This amazing technique has been lovingly preserved generation after generation for over 100 years and is used in the homes of Theresa’s descendants, just as it was prepared in the LaManna household since her early days as a child in Italy. The family tradition has been preserved with both love and concern for maintaining the highest authentic taste that has made Italian food a favorite cuisine across the world.
