Ruth's Chris Steak House

We have been coming to this location for 3 years and it never disappoints. They always go above and beyond service wise. We have gone every year to celebrate our anniversary since 2024, and they always make sure to make us feel special and welcome. Today, they had the booth we always sit at ready, as well as a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary. When we got there they even recognized that we had been there before for the same occasion, and for dessert they brought us out a delicious cheesecake.

A massive shoutout to our server Selena and the amazing manager Aaliya for taking such great care of us. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

My girlfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here and it was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish, the staff gave us a rose which was a sweet touch.
We began with the voodoo shrimp perfectly crispy with that addictive sweet and spicy kick that hits just right without overpowering the shrimp itself. The mushroom stuffed with crab meat was honestly one of the most delicate and beautifully flavored crab dishes we’ve had. The crab was tender, fresh, and seasoned to perfection, rich but not heavy, letting the natural sweetness shine through.
For the main, we ordered the USDA ribeye cooked medium rare, and it was outstanding. It arrived on a sizzling plate, creating that mouthwatering sound that instantly builds anticipation. The steak was cooked exactly as requested, juicy, tender, and packed with deep, beefy flavor with a beautiful sear on the outside.
The sides were just as impressive. The potato au gratin was creamy, cheesy, and indulgent with a perfectly golden top, while the Brussels sprouts were cooked beautifully, caramelized, flavorful, and a great savory balance to the richness of the steak.
To finish, we had the molten lava cake and the creme brulee. The lava cake was decadent with a warm, flowing center that paired perfectly with the ice cream. The creme brulee was exceptional silky smooth custard with a perfectly torched sugar crust, and you could see and taste the real powdered vanilla bean throughout, which elevated it to another level.
The entire evening felt special, romantic, and thoughtfully executed. Incredible food, beautiful presentation, and an unforgettable Valentine’s dinner. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

This was a delivery order, at a price of $157. It ranks as one of the worst experiences I have had.

Looking only at issues which are within the restaurant's control, the portion sizing was pathetic. A steak proclaimed to be 8oz was actually 5.5oz. The Brussels and corn were also small portions.

When I called the restaurant was not prepared to seriously entertain any complaint. Because I had ordered via Uber, all complaints must go through the carrier! Zero accountability from the restaurant.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. The service was really good. The ambiance was upscale but not pretentious. We went early 430 so it was empty yeahhhh! The food was very enjoyable steak was not cooked exactly how I wanted it in terms of doneness but I still enjoyed it. Salad was yum, soup yum lol bread and butter warm and nicely whipped. To roll in at 6pm ...The atmosphere changed intresting to see who the patrons where. Anyway, dessert we had one of everything I really liked the cheesecake and mini bread pudding....and the fruits.

A billion thanks for the outstanding meal, service, ambiance and royal birthday treatment of @Sher_Everywhere. You are truly a premier dining destination in Toronto. Such a chic spot with incredible culinary creations and bespoke cocktails. Looking forward to dining again soon. Extra special thanks to the servers and chefs last night.

Went to the one at the airport.
Service was good, food was good but no better than what a person could get at Montana’s or the keg and 3 times the price.
My daughter ordered the French onion soup, which was more cheese than soup. I had the filet and scallops and the scallops showed up cold, good thing the plate was hot and was able to warm them on it.
They don’t use Canadian beef, which is disappointing, would much rather have some AAA Alberta beef.
The prices are way to high for me to return, especially having to pay for the sides separately.

probably the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. we came here while visiting Toronto particularly because my friend is Muslim and they offer halal steaks here, they were really accommodating. We had the New York strip rib eye, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Our server Selina was so kind, attentive, and genuine. She was truly a highlight of our experience!! The manager (unfortunately didn’t catch his name) was also super great, and came into check on us as well.

I would 100% come back here the next time I am in Toronto!!!

Had a lovely experience from start to finish at the Downtown Toronto location. All of the servers were friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of having Tapash and he was welcoming and kind. The menu is extensive with steakhouse fare, make sure to arrive hungry as you’ll want to order everything! I was torn between steak & seafood so I had both. The sides are very generous portions! This is a nice place to celebrate special occasions as the staff are extremely accommodating. Had a 10/10 evening. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ruth’s Chris Steak House at the Hilton in downtown Toronto. From start to finish, our server Angelina truly made the evening exceptional.
She impressed us right away with her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful suggestions, which showed she really knew her stuff. Beyond that, her friendliness and genuine kindness stood out, she made us feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we sat down. Angelina connected with us so easily that we felt relaxed and at home, which made the experience even more special.
Throughout the meal, she checked in on us at just the right moments to make sure everything was perfect, without ever being intrusive. Her warm personality, attention to detail, and caring approach elevated the entire evening.
The food was, of course, fantastic, but it was Angelina who truly made this experience memorable. She was fabulous, and thanks to her, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience! Our server Selena was amazing friendly, attentive, and made the night feel special. The food was outstanding; you can hear it sizzling before it even reaches the table. We went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Toronto last night for my birthday dinner. As usual, the food, the service and the ambiance was exceptional. I really can't say enough about the quality of the food and the service. My steak and sides were absolutely perfect. Lidia who served us, was incredibly kind and patient and she made us feel so comfortable. Brian, the manager, stopped by our table to check on us several times. I could feel his sincerity and he's also pretty funny. Overall, this was such a great experience and I can't wait until the next time we visit!

Took the opportunity to try with Summerlicious. The food was high quality with the steak being the star of the show. There’s no comparing it to places like The Keg. The steak was quite tender and flavorful. Be careful, they’re not kidding when they say all their steaks sizzle. The plate is scalding hot as they heat it up to 500 degrees celcius. The side’s portion size was huge.

The service was attentive and friendly. The staff re-filled water glasses frequently and came over to check if any help was required.

The only thing is the interior decor is a bit dated, but it’s not a major detractor.

Definitely a good choice to try during Summerlicious if you’ve never been to Ruth’s Chris.

We recently took part in the Summerlicious menu at Ruth’s Chris, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Some of us went for the steak, others for the chicken—and both dishes were truly out of this world. The garlic crust on the steak was the perfect finishing touch and made it unforgettable.

What really elevated the experience was the exceptional service provided by Mike. He was not only courteous and professional, but also added a fun touch with some great one-liner jokes that kept the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.

Highly recommend giving it a go—you won’t be disappointed!

We travel to Toronto to spend the night before flying on vacation and every time we do, we have dinner here. I can’t believe this is a chain restaurant because the food is insanely good. This is a very comfortable restaurant and the service is excellent. that being said, it is pretty damn expensive too, but worth treating yourself if you can swing it.

Our first night in Toronto, our hotel had a steakhouse on site. Very convenient.
We made reservations and were promptly seated on arrival.
Our party of three, for starters, shared calamari, crunchy, lightly battered with a sweet & spicy chili sauce.
​One French Onion Soup with a thick coat of melted cheese was said to be very good.

For the main course, we shared Petite Filet & Shrimp (two 4 oz medallions with six. Grilled shrimp)perfect portions for the two of us. NY Strip was the other meat selected. The meats came to the desired doneness-medium. The filete was tender
The side dishes-Sweet Potato Casserole, Fire-Roasted Corn, were hits. The potato has a crusted pecan, so good. I loved the corn too.
Pinot Noir, Malbec, Zero Coke for drinks.
The dessert was a sinful, extremely rich Chocolate Fudge Cake that was shared.

Service impeccable, ambiance quite sophisticated.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. To start, we ordered the caesar salad. For our mains, we had the stuffed chicken breast, New York Strip, mashed potatoes, broccoli and fire roasted corn. Overall, the food tasted good. The interior of the restaurant is modern and elegant. I would dine here again in the future.

This was our first experience and it was wonderful! Our meal was well prepared and seasoned. The side portions were enough to share with my hubby, and there are half portions. The bread rolls were so good too! We had cocktails that were delicious. Our server had the best sense of humor and the entire service was excellent!
