Huge thanks to your filter recomendation yesterday morning!! After much stress due to a faulty filter the tank is now clear and sparkly and will be ready for the fish to move in shortly!! You guys rock!!

I learned more from Jamie at the Kitchener store in about 15 minutes about how to properly care for tropical fish than I learned in 12 years of keeping a tank. Sadly, nearly all of what I learned prior from all the others was, seemingly, complete poppycock.

The condition of the reptile enclosures in the Kitchener location are disgusting. No water provided to snakes, dry water dishes in dozens of lizard tanks, overcrowding, dirty tanks with weeks worth of feces piled up. Dead Hermit crabs, anorexic Uromastyx - if it was even still alive. The conditions noted above were observed on Saturday September 24th at approximately 3:00pm. Sadly this is not the first time I have witnessed such deplorable conditions in this store.

Big Als is THE place to go for the biggest selection in the region. Prices are generally reasonable, and there's always a coupon out there. Some of the staff could be a little more friendly/knowledgeable but if you're lucky to get the owner, he'll treat you like #1.
