My Storage

I am writing this review in frustration and disgust with my first bidding experience with the My Storage Mississauga location.

First, I am an event planner and decided that this year 2026 i would build my inventory. My friend suggested that I go on market place or bidding on abandoned storages. I thought the Storage bidding sounded like a good idea. So I came across bid13 and made an account. I then came across two units being auctioned at the same time at the My Storage Mississauga location they both had furniture, props and fabrics which was perfect. I decided to bid and won fair and square on February 12th, 2025.

Second, on February 13th, 2025 I called My Storage to ask about few things. One, I ask how long do we have to move the things after we pay. A gentleman on the line told me I have 72 hours to come in and pay and after I pay I have 3 days to clear the unit. Then I confirmed the $300.00 had to be cash for the deposit. I then sent my mom on the same day February 13th, 2026 to go in person to pay as it was her credit card I used to bid online. The way my mother was treated was unacceptable. My mom said from the minute she walked in the Lady Stephanie who was working that day had an unwelcoming smile on her face from the moment she walked in. As they proceed with the process Stephanie started telling my mom that all the things have to be empty by tomorrow. Which is NOT what I was told. Then she started telling my mom that she can only empty units during business hours and that she has to supervise the whole time. Then, there was a misunderstanding with the payment of the unit I had told my mom to pay the deposit in cash not realizing the units also had to be paid in cash. So my mom left to go to the bank and come back.

My mom had called me to tell me it was supposed to be cash. So I decided to call My Storage to confirm which they did confirm the units had to be paid with cash.
Which I ended up speaking to Stephanie on the phone on behalf of my mom. Stephanie started saying that we only have til tomorrow but she will be re-listing the unit anyway and stated that thats all she can tell me.

So i called a different location and spoke to the same gentleman and asked on the phone why Stephanie was telling my mom everything had to be emptied by tomorrow and telling me that she was going to relist the units. The gentleman on the phone said he is not sure so he will transfer me to someone higher up. When the lady came on the phone she didn't greet me or nothing she immediately started saying that they have the right to refuse any bidder and re list it. I asked her why what did we do wrong. And the lady claimed that they feel there is a relation between my mom and I with the previous unit owners.

I was in complete shock and told her I will report this. The only thing that comes to my mind is that this is a racist attack on my mom and I. The previous owners must have been black like my mother and I so they feel we look alike or are related in some way. There is no other explanation and I am disgusted. This has completely ruined my auction experience and I would never recommend this storage company. I will definitely be leaving a review.

I had a great experience renting my unit, and a big part of that was thanks to Stephanie. She was extremely helpful, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made what could’ve been a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward.

Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up properly and that I was comfortable moving forward. You can tell she actually cares about helping customers, not just rushing them through paperwork. If you’re looking to rent a unit or need assistance, I highly recommend asking for her.

I was surprised and amazed by the staff at Belleview north location.. This was the easiest set up and sign up for any storage I've used thus far. Adriana is a dream come true, give this woman a raise!!! She was super warm, friendly, understanding, very helpful as well as professional. 1 month free is a life saver Adriana's customer service is what won me over.

The Place is amazing. The Personnel is highly professional. The Service is top notch, and second to none. The office is cozy, friendly, inviting, and well put together. They have mastered their craft skilfully and proudly.

Best place to rent in the city - easy to keeo your stuff. Stephanie's great, she helped with thru whole process, showed the unit and assisted properly to get me my proper space. Best service, keep up the good work Stephanie!

Garbage. My hydro bill jumped from $70 over $500 in my work shop. I wasn't even worked in it.
Also they are charging $3 less in the bill, later they asking for the $3 with a $10 late payment fee.

Stephanie was very helpful and kind in guiding us through the process. Really great faciliry as well.

They were selling their old company vehicle trying to scam people out of their hard earned money , nancy was responsible for it all, she was telling me it just needs a battery. I drove 3 hours for me to show up to a car with a new battery and the car has an issue with draining the electricity. Ofcourse this was discovered after the car ruined the brand new battery i bought to test it
Nancy is a scam artist and from the way she speaks you know she was lying about everything. Be careful folks

When dealing with My Storage they have always been very helpful and accommodating. Friendly and very easy to deal with. Particularly Catherine @ my storage. Extremely helpful with very professional service! Highly Recommend!

Moving to this storage unit could not have been easier. Stephanie was kind, quick to respond and so helpful with the million questions I had. This was the most affordable option and you have access to the unit 24/7! Thank you so much Stephanie for all your help and making this one of the easiest decisions we've had to make!

I have been dealing with Stephanie and I need to advise the owner how impressed I am with the her service. My brother pressed away in Sri Lanka late April and I have had the best service ever, so respectful, helpful and above and beyond service. disappointed When I switched my storage unit from my storage etobicoke location due to persons living in the storage units to my storage breamlee location and running into the same problem!!! due to persons living inside the facility on site/smoking in the units literally throwing food garbage infront of other units for unknown reasons. I emailed there site manager 4 months ago and expressed that I've witnessed with my own eyes 2 people living inside of a storage unit. I ended up leaving for good since clearly broke contract and did not do anything about this matter I have asked for a refund on my deposit and they keep telling me no so DO NOT RENT HERE!! YOUR STUFF IS NOT SAFE IN YOUR UNITS . very unfortunate

My Storage Bramalea is a great facility. Very clean and safe environment. I’ll like to thank Stephanie. She is really nice and helpful.

From the moment I inquired on renting a unit, both Maxin and Emily were amazing and provided awesome customer service. They had me set up and ready to go in no time at all. Now that I have my unit, I would say they facility is clean and well managed.

I was needing a new storage space to store some seasonal items as I was moving out of my other storage unit! I walked in to My Storage on Bramalea Road and I was greeted by Gin. She took the time to explain all the storage units they had available and all the specific details about them. She went over all the prices and rules with a lot of detail! She was very helpful, pleasant and friendly that I ended up renting the unit that day! I would say that their prices are very fair and the units look very clean and well managed. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to store items on a short notice! I give five stars for the overall experience ☺️
