Big City Windows and Doors

DO NOT CONTRACT WITH BIG CITY WINDOW
In early May 2020, I noticed that my 4 garage door window casings were cracked. I advised BCW (by voice mail). My phone call was not returned, I called again on 19 May 2020. I was told that someone would get in contact with me, but no one did, and I called again. I provided the barcode as requested, and eventually, a repairman shows up in August 2020 to replace the casing with the wrong casings. BCW was going to reorder, I provided the barcode again and I received no information until I contacted BCW in early November 2020, naturally, BCW did not return my call, and I called again and eventually, at the end of November 2020, I was told that the part was back ordered. Eventually, a repairman showed up with 1 casing, all 4-window casings must be changed but the repairman only has 1 casing. BCW was to reorder and in early November 2021, I was told it would take 14 weeks to get the remaining window casing. In February 2022, I called BCW and called again and again, and eventually, a man called me and said someone would get back to me, since no one contacted me, my husband and I decided to visit the store on 3 March 2022 and it was clear that not only did BCW not get a date when the window casing will be replaced but also didn’t have any supplier and they didn’t even bother to follow up with the supplier that was supposed to make the window casing as per BCW phone call to me in November 2021. BCW answer is we will pay for the cost of the replacement of your garage window casings, but we are looking for a supplier, of course, it should be at BCW cost since I have a purchasing contract that clearly states, “Lifetime Transferable Warranty BCW agrees to repair or replace free of charge with zero deductible for any part found to be defective”. I kept my part of the agreement by paying the invoice upon completion, now that BCW has my money they are not willing to honour the warranty. BCW has shown me the number of emails sent to suppliers to try to get my window casing replacement and with all those emails have been unable to find a supplier, this clearly indicates that no supplier out there is interested. I asked for a refund of the cost of the garage door or a replacement door without windows this time, but they refused and the continuing concern that the winter cold or summer heat could make one of the glasses fall on a child or a car. I also contacted the BBB in order to get some assistance and BCW will not do anything regardless of my lifetime warrantee unless they can get a supplier to make my garage door window casing.

I am very happy with the install of four new windows this week. This has made 11 windows and two doors in total that Big City Windows and Doors have replaced in my home. I am very happy with the install, very neat and tidy. The windows have been excellent. I can highly recommend the team at Big City Windows and Doors!

Samad and Dominick arrived at 2 in the afternoon, and my husband who is does not always think that I have hired the right people, said their work was wonderful! Friendly, and the perfection was out of this world! Clean up was great. Will call for your services again. It was 7:30 and dark when they left. Amazing is all I can say.

We decided to update our windows and doors and we were not disappointed. This company completed the updates in 2 days. The service and cleanliness of all the individuals was very appreciative given the amount of construction required to change all windows and doors. The installers went above and beyond to make sure everything was done with precision, accuracy and speed. Our windows and doors look amazing and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely recommend this company in the future.

Excellent product, fabulous install crew!

The installers at BCW were very pleasant and polite. They treated my home with respect and not like a construction site. They were efficient and tidy and cleaned up inside and out. I am very pleased with the end product and would highly recommend them to my neighbours and friends.

Had 2x 9' windows installed. Very satisfied. Measurements were perfect and installers were quite good.

Konstantin was the sales associate that came to my house to give me an estimate on my front door. I was looking for a front door with double side lights and because of the measurements of the front door it had to be custom made. Konstantin put time in to making sure I was getting exactly what I was looking for. he showed different types of styles and colours and made accommodations to anything I needed to change. The installation went very smoothly from the removal of my excising trim and door to the trim being put back with the brand new door. The door is beautiful and original. The street effect it has is amazing. Can’t wait to do more work with Big City Windows and Doors!!

I have used Big City windows twice now based on the positive experience I have had with them the first time. Each time, the Big City team was very professional, fast and clean. The quotes that I had received both time ( first time was for my front door and 3 bedroom windows and the second time was my picture window , one side door and 4 downstairs windows.) were unbeatable and much lower then the many companies around. I had about 5 estimates done with different companies around the Ottawa area and Big City Windows and Doors came out to be the best price. I also really like the way the sales associate, Konstantin, was very down to earth, no pressure and very accommodating. When the time to install arrived the installers were very fast, efficient and did an amazing job with the clean up. i also thought it was great how after the installation the company contacted me as a post- installation follow up call to make sure I was happy with my product. Both times , If I had concerns or questions regarding any of the windows or doors , the Big City team was very fast and accommodating. They contacted me back right away or were at my house if need be either that day or the next. I have recommended this company to all of my close friends and family.

Big City W&D completed a 7 window & 2 door replacement at our home in June of 2015. We had received several quotes and decided to go with a new company in the area. We're glad we did. We are very pleased with both the quality of the products and the quality of the installation. The windows and doors were of various sizes and types. Employees Vladimir and Andrea whom we dealt with were knowledgeable regarding their products and professional in their manner and workmanship. We will certainly hire this company again.
