Dilawri Automotive Group

Wished I had read the reviews here before we went to look for two cars from a dilawri group dealer.Out of 5 quotes from 5 different dealers [brands: BMW,Infiniti,Audi],including Dilawri. Dilawri was the LOWEST quote on a trade for both cars,about $7000 each compared to the other quoting dealers.The other dealers also gave a fair "all in" FIRST quote on a new car,no pressure.BEFORE buying,I now ask who the dealership's owner is . The car manufacturers aren't exactly morally driven ,so consumers will continue to run into questionable conduct with some of their "authorized" dealers. With the VW diesel scandal, the car buying consumer is still very much exposed to an industry that holds a low view of morals in the 21C. Add the GM ingnition switch ,and Toyota brake scandals/law suits.It is often said the car is the second most expensive item for the general public to purchase,next to their home being the first.The government has compelling evidence they need to provide two things: a lemon law [3 repair attempts],and enforce the consumer law by giving it teeth via enforcement.Advising Ontario consumers to bring any,and all consumer issues to the court is an inefficient use of the court's time,and a waste of tax dollars spent on various provincial "administrators" who can rarely enforce anything.

its funny how people can just blame one of Canadas largest auto groups for one bad sales rep. Look they are successful at what they do and customers like them overall. Or they would not have 65 dealerships all over canada. It is not easy to run a business at that scale perfectly

After my folks had a bad experience with Dilawri two years ago, we figured it was a one-off and went to one of dealerships this past winter. They had the vehicle we wanted at a reasonable price. Amazingly massive mistake. Customer service was atrocious. They would make appointments with us and then never remember who we were or why we were there. The vehicle had a broken grill they promised to replace (6 months and still not calling us back to fix it). Wrong documents to transfer vehicle for the Quebec registration....not just once but TWICE!
They were rude and arrogant every time we had to go back to get the paperwork. Unbelievable.

There is absolutely no recourse for bad customer service. Once they have your money you are screwed.
Basically, snake like employees. Stereotypical slimey "used car salesmen".

They don't keep there promises. Even on paper, they make you fight them for what you paid for. I lost my 500$ deposit with them and they would not reimburse it. Will never try to buy or service my other car with this group again.

Selling a car with almost dead battery. ( die 3 times with-in 5 days after I bought the car) Selling a car in regular price with a lot of scratches need $2,134 to fix. Put the car in a dark indoor parking spot in a rainy day, so I didn't see the scratches because they just use the touch up pen to cover the deep scratches which not wear to tears. Misleading selling method, pushing you to get an no extra charge auto loan, but there has an interest $410. for 75 days she never mention.

like you see the other ratings, this is no other than what you see most available on all the sites, the minimum here is one star if there was an option i would not give any stars. this is related to my recent horrible experience with Markham Acura for a new Acura MDX Car, never buy car from this group as they have all the bad business practices to lure customers, nothing near to customer service you can expect from these guys, stay away is my honest advise...

How can a service manager make a deal, and after it was agreed and I paid a 500.00 deposit with my debit card and 15 minutes after they said they made a mistake and they could not make that deal.

They said they could not refund me right away, they would provide me a check the next day. This is the next day, and they say they now cannot do it until the next day.

How can you have a company this size not being able to take care of this right away - it's only sorry, sorry sorry.......

They are offering to make another deal, I will never deal with them with all that is going on now.

Extremely bad service and not keeping their word.

Went in and bought a used Mazda 6 last night after seeing it on Auto-trader.ca. Price on the car was almost $20K but we agreed on $18,500 with my trade in. Signed the deal and then got home that night to notice the price on the car was $16,979 on Auto-trader. I had a few bad experiences with other dealers this past week in my search for cars so was thinking I was going to get the run around in the AM. At 10AM the following morning I sat down with the Sales Manager, showed him the print-outs from Auto-trader, and 15 minutes later we voided the original receipt and he gave me the price plus honoured by trade-in which brought the price down $3000.

That my friends is GREAT customer service!

Although the purchase of my new 300 started out well. The customer service after and the performance of the vehicle after was so horrible that I would not recommend anybody to any Dilawri. Not only did the warranty sold to me not cover what it was supposed to, I was also overcharged in my first billing and completely ignored by three managers over phone and email until my complaints got loud enough. This experience has ruined any chance of me EVER buying another Chrysler product, and has ended any chance of my family and friends stepping into any Dilawri autogroup. I've only had my car for 4months and looking to get rid of this luxury automobile. Go to Myers Group, i've never had a car from there but at least they understand and want to help customers.

absolutely would never buy from dilawri again, soon as you sign your screwed... had to take 2 days off work and sit around for hours to get a 20 minute job of mouldings put on my truck that were supposed to be on it when i bought the truck. nobody cares... the manager said oh well... horrible customer service!!!
