Frustrated commuter from Cambridge
What has happened to Cambridge commuters, as I have yet to hear real outrage at the city planning authorities and their complacent attitude toward the only company that provides intercity transportation, named the Greyhound. It's moving the terminal to a much more inconvenient location in the middle of nowhere (Industrial Rd, the name gives you a hint of its location and convenience) - oh, but that's actually a temporary location, since the long term plan is to move it to the completely out of the way location of Sports World, another middle of nowhere location. It'll be great business for taxi drivers as that's a $25 ride into Galt. Furthermore, where's the ecological sense for people who want to save their gas money to drive to this location - wouldn't it be much easier then to drive all the way to Toronto?? Public transit offers a schedule that will be add at least 1 hour of travel either to Kitchener or Cambridge. For those of us who're already 7 hours by bus to come from Ottawa, it'll be a killer ride. Thank you so much Greyhound! Oh, and now, by the way you can only take 1 bag free and are charged $10 extra for an additional bag. You can only use your ticket on a given TIME and DAY or if you need to change the date or time you're charged $15. Way of milking your monopoly!
