Poor Customer Service
I am writing to talk about the worst customer service I have ever had...period. My husband and I have been loyal Tepperman's customers for approx. 10 years and will quite possibly never return. We went to the store knowing exactly what we wanted, we found our sectional and waited for a sales associate, then waited a little longer. After waiting 10 minutes we asked an associate if they could have someone help us, she said she would have someone paged, "but we are short staffed and our associates are busy" so after someone was paged we waited another 10 minutes when I went up to the receptionist myself who said she would have someone paged. In the meantime, a couple walk in the store and were greeted by a sales associate right away and he helped them, not even giving us a second glance. After waiting a total of 30 minutes in the store we begin to walk out and I am clearly upset, which is when the sales manager asks while we are walking out "is there something I can help you with" I explain that we have been waiting for someone to help us, and the manager replies "all our associates are with clients" so we point out how we were there well before others who came in and how they were helped right away. She looks stunned and when I said "that is absolutely unacceptable customer service" she had no reply, what-so-ever. So, after 30 minutes of waiting, we did not leave with the sectional we planned to purchase and a very horrible customer service experience from sales associates as well as the sales manager on duty. Very, very sad for a family business who prides themselves on customer service.
