Horrible Customer Service
I had contacted The Copa to make an appointment to view the facility. I was given 3 options. 11:00, 2:30, or 8:30pm. I chose 8:30pm as the other times did not work. When I arrived there was a social that had just started. Why would they show the hall when there is a function?? We were greeted in an unprofessional manner. Were told right away that it's really hard to show the hall when there is a function going on. My thought was so why did you offer this time in the first place?!
We were then asked how many people for the wedding. I had said 100-150. He flat out says "well we better stop talking now then. We only do functions for over 150 people". (He had sent me an e-mail prior stating that the hall is free for over 150 guests and a charge for anything less. It would be about $295 for 125 guests.)I brought this up and he just replied with a rude "well for 100 people it's $900. There are only 52 Saturdays in a year". So basically he's telling us that he is not interested in us having our wedding at his facility as we will not be making him enough money.
The parking for this place is a disgrace. It's behind the building and is all gravel. It happened to be raining that day and there were gross puddles all over. If you were attending a function and all dressed up then you'd have to walk all the way around the building to the entrance. You would get quite dirty. It didn't appear to be well lit and my concern for security for car break-ins, etc would be raised at this place.
