Brought a 30" computer monitor to Stefanko with the hope of a truthful repair analysis. Cost me $100 estimate just to tell me a lie and damaging the monitor case in the process. I was furious. I went away and received another estimate locally for $25, and they stated the damage caused by opening the monitor case incorrectly, not replacing heat shielding, and a wrong diagnosis. To top it off, Stefanko had the nerve to ask if I wanted to dipose of it with him. Yeah right, so he can make more money off my misfortune.
In the end, it was determined to be a faulty video processing card on the Gateway XHD3000H which we found a replacement on Ebay for $450 US. With the prices falling rapidly on 23-24" LCD panels I decided to buy new.
