And it's off to the races with...

For the last three years friends who are avid runners always manage to drag my behind to do this run. I say "drag" because I don't particularly like to run but I like the company and the rush after completing the run/walk. Yes there are the aches and pain, but it's for a great cause!

The course is on flat terrain which starts at the hospital, takes you through the scenic Cornell community and ends at the hospital where runners are greeted with bbq's for the hungry tummy and massage therapy for the aching muscles.

Kudos to the MSH. This is a very well organized event that gets the local community involved, and over the years, has raised over $1M to support the programs and services at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital. There's always a great turn-out, from serious runners using the race as practice runs for longer races, recreational runners / walkers (like myself), families, local businesses and even the local firemen!
