Awful customer service and builder
I bought a house in 2012 and I wish I read this reviews prior. I have the same problems with the concrete cracking and deficiencies as well. The onsite manager sympathizes but the head office will not help at all.
I would not purchase a house from this builder again because of the Service Manager at head office.
My advice is to document everything, take many pictures and do not let tell you that they will "record"' this for you. Another option is directly take them to small claims court, I have two neighbours that are doing so, one of the neighbours settled and the other neighbor is still pending. The only way people will listen is through their pocketbooks. Good luck finding a better builder!

The driveway at my home has been cracking/peeling for years, and they refuse to properly fix it.
I'm curious which neighbourhood you're in? If your neighbours have already taken Stepper to small claims court over these issues, it might be worthwhile to get everyone on my street together and just launch a bigger case.
In the end - they are terrible, the customer service has been terrible (wasn't always). DO NOT BUILD WITH STEPPER. It is a terrible, terrible choice.
Worst builder ever since 1956.
My driveway pads cracked and started flexing about a month after possession and I met with CF and the Stepper Homes service manager and showed them the problem. The CF guy said that they used the same specification for the driveway thickness and the garage pad thickness which is 3.5 inches average (?). I totally agree that the driveway thickness should at least be the same or thicker than the garage pad since the driveway takes on a dynamic loading which is greater than a static load, more or less, as the garage pad. What I don't agree with is that the thickness should be 3.5 inches average(?) because I have a drawing of the garage pad which is part of the purchase agreement and that I have signed off on that says the garage pad should be a MINIMUM 4 inches thick oh compacted fill. This alone should have been enough to prompt stepper to look into the matter do something if they really care about their customers.
I agree that we should get together and launch a bigger case.
