Have you ever heard of hot tub bubble cover? I can’t say I blame you. I only learned about it when I was shopping around for a scum ball and saw it on the website of the Cover Guy. Anyways, it is just a sheet of high-quality vinyl with little bubbles in it for buoyancy. It goes over your hot tub but under your hot tub cover. It protects the inside of the cover from chemical damage, which is good for people like me who use ozone to sanitize hot tubs. It also helps to keep the heat and steam in. I think this is because the steam gets caught in the spaces between the bubbles and condenses out. It does have a very noticeable effect on how fast my hot tub heats up, though, and probably improves the energy efficiency. It is a very good idea for anyone who uses an ozone system and/or cares about energy efficiency.
