Nightmare in limo...
For Saturday May 23rd, I had pre-arranged a limo as a surprise for a group of friends. I had reserved with a credit card and called in the morning to re-confirm the time, that this would be a new limo (he said it would be a 2008). The pick up time was 2:15pm, at 2:30 I called the phone number and the man, who can barely speak audible English, said he was on the Alex Fraser Bridge, that he would be late. When I asked him why he did not call and this was not acceptable, he raised his voice and was quite belligerent and totally unapologetic. He said he would be there in another 30 minutes and arrived one hour late in what I can only describe as the worst limo I have ever been in; it was old, NOT a 2008, it smelled and the air conditioning barely worked and we were very crowded. On top of that he demanded cash up front, which I had not advised of beforehand and I have never experienced in years of hiring limos. He insisted on taking us to a bank machine first and then tried to insist on a 20% tip!! I refused and said we would gauge that at the end of the trip. I asked to stop at the Lighthouse in Stanley Park; he glared at our group the entire time and did not open doors for us and was extremely rude to everyone. When he dropped us off he would not get out of the limo and hence, no tip. What was most astonishing to my guests was how unabashedly rude he was and completely without any remorse for being one hour late; I have never been so anxious to get out of limo in my life. I had dealt with this company many times in the past but I believe there has been a change in owners or management.We have had no success in attempting to secure the owner or manager's name from him (if indeed there exists such a person) as he has refused to provide it to numerous people. I would never use this limo company again, would strongly recommend people to not book with them and have had to call my bank with concerns of security with my credit card and if they do add on ANY unauthorized charges, I won't hesitate to take appropriate legal action or file formal charges or complaints against this company and individual. I also have seven very dissatisfied customers who were also witnesses to this very unprofessional and unfortunate experience, to put it mildly.
