Regreting my choice.
My shopping experience a Sposaitalia……..
Prior to purchasing my wedding gown the staff were attentive and professional. After I purchased not only my wedding gown but also three bridesmaid dresses from Sposaitalia it was the worst place ever.
I had a bridesmaid drop out and requested a refund. At first I was told that there was no refunds on ordered dresses. I said “the dress wasn’t ordered because I never provided her measurements”. I was then told I could have the refund. I requested the refund each time I went in after that being told things like only the manager can do that. When the manager was there and I requested it Lia, owner of the shop, said I may want to save it in case I need something like an alteration and I agreed. I had also requested the dress be cleaned and was told it would cost an amount less than what I was owed. When I finally picked up my dress and again asked for my refund the woman there said she had spoken to Lia D’Agostino, owner of the shop, and said it went to the dress cleaning which I was not consulted about or told. I was given an estimate which was less than the refund itself. Of course this was a shock as I was quoted a lesser amount than my refund.
When I made an appointment for my fitting and called in to confirm I was told I didn’t have an appointment and had book again. I was told the bridesmaid dresses would be in around mid-December. My wedding was January 9, 2016. I had made an appointment for my bridesmaids to try on their dresses on December 19, 2015. The shop unexpectedly was closed that day and I was not notified. One of my bridesmaid travelled over 2 hours to come and try on the dress. I left a voice message and one of my bridesmaids had emailed them. I received a voice message a few days later from Vanessa apologizing and wanting to reschedule although they were closed over Christmas. After they reopened on December 29, 2015 I attended to pick up all the dresses as now with everything that had happened I just wanted to get the dresses and never have to attend or converse with that business again. My bridesmaid was not going to travel 2 hours again to try on this dress and I told the store I need the dress to ship it to her to have alterations done. To my surprise they had never even received the bridesmaid dresses and did not tell me. Very angry I took my dress and left. On December 30, 2015 I received a call from Sposaitalia telling me the dress was in and I could pick it up that day or tomorrow. I was out of town at a Christmas dinner. Later that evening I received a voice message from Sposaitalia advising that they would be closed December 30 until January 2, 2016. Keep in mind my wedding date was January 9, 2016. I picked up the dresses on January 2nd being a Saturday and had to ship it on the Monday before the wedding.
You have enough stresses planning your wedding, don’t add another one, and don’t shop at Sposaitalia.
