Traveland RV - no PDI on new coaches -
We bought a brand new 2016 Jayco Seneca 37TS, a "top of the line" unit. The lack of PDI by Traveland RV in Airdrie Alberta left us screwed.
We purchased the unit in West Kelowna new and then travelled to Alberta to get it. They basically gave it a wash, applied an expensive Diamond Cote treatment to paint damage, and kissed us goodbye.
We bought all the additional warranties and protection packages. The unit has failed miserably and we took it back last August 2016, where it stayed until December of 2016. Now it's spring of 2017 and the needed repairs aren't finished, still.
The unit had to be shipped to Langley, BC to do some of the repairs, like paintwork, and the damaged floors because the slides weren't working properly. Those repairs were not done correctly, so it's got to go back again. Traveland RV could have avoided many of the issues that we've had by refusing to let it out of the door until it's been checked out properly. The unit now has 3,700 miles on it, of which we have driven it on holidays for only 200 of those miles.
We were had by the sales BS, don't you fall for the Traveland RV crap, slow down, shop around, inspect the unit, don't take possession of it until every dam little thing is repaired.
We've owned this new $280,000.00 unit since July of 2016 and have slept in it only 11 nights.
The frustration and stress this has cost us is enormous, but it pales to the financial losses we've taken for insurance, depreciation, warranties and other bull**** scams sold to us that have no value when the unit doesn't work.
Our warranties and guaranties run the clock down while Traveland RV pockets the profit for fixing things on our dime that should have either never been or should have been repaired before delivery.
Thanks for the nightmares Traveland RV.
We should mention that the management at Traveland RV has stalled us for any reimbursement and that Jayco has been the same, just stall tactics hoping to wear you down so you'll go away.
That's not going to happen with us, we're taking them to court!
