One of my fav spots in the city. The food and the service have been consistently great. They have a good menu and a cute little patio upstairs as well as one downstairs. Can't really ask for much else!

This place is very special to me. I would not recommend going here for the food, but the stunning view plus drinks plus the right company makes for a very lovely and memorable evening. Make sure you sit on the side with the view of the city though.

I had my 25th birthday party at the Thompson and overall I had a good time. As expected, the room was very nice and we loved the rooftop patio. The club downstairs was not too great but it was fine. Where the Thompson fell short a bit was their service. We ran out of tissues and there were no extra boxes in our room. Getting ice was not easy. One of the bouncers was very rude to one of my friends until he realized that we were guests at the hotel. Other than that, everyone else was polite enough (although not too friendly) and I had a great party.
I don't think I would recommend this place for holding parties; unless it's a toned down party. However, the Thompson would be a great place to have a special girls/guys night out. It also makes a perfect romantic getaway spot and I will go back for their rooftop patio if not for anything else!

I have been meaning to try this place for months and today was the day! Had a great experience and I will definitely go back. The service was good and the food was fresh and delicious. I love the fact that the size of their rolls are not gigantic like many of the other places I go. They brought us some kind of noodle soup on the house which was really good. I usually order miso soup with my rolls but I actaully liked their soup better and didnt even get the miso. Overall, I had a great time eating great food. Would recommend it for sure.

I eat here often and that's because their food is amazing. You can build your own pizza and make it really really delicious! Pretty much anything on the menu will make you happy. They have the best homemade tiramisu I have ever had, and I have had many of them at many places! I love John's Cafe, and as long as they continue making food the way they do I don't think I will ever stop eating there.

I have tried their pizza, pasta and panini, and they all have been REALLY GOOD!! They do have a "no modifications, no substitutions policy", which is understandable given how busy and packed they always are. This is mentioned on their website and on their menu, so do not expect otherwise. In my experience, the service was nothing fancy but polite and pleasant. I go here for their great food and I always leave satisfied. Would definitely recommend it, especially their pizzas!

I have gotten multiple haircuts with Nelson and a perm with Suzanna. Both of them are amazing at what they do. The first time I went to Salon Escape, I went from having long hair to getting a very short inverted bob. Nelson did such a fantastic job that I don't think I can ever trust anyone else with getting a short haircut. They have great stylists and they treat their customers well. I have nothing but good things to say about Salon Escape.

Great coffee and panini with friendly staff. I love this place! Their chestnut latte is delicious, I definitely recommend trying it. If they had wifi, this would have been a 5 star review!
