Lap Band Surgery....Kelly S. Schaub
I had a great experience at on the day of my operation. Everyone at the clinic goes beyond to make the patient feel special and to answer any questions. The nurses there are very personable and give great care!!! The added benefit of talking to the anesthetist and the surgeon just prior to surgery is very helpful and their upbeat personalities made me feel at ease.
Just want to add that Kim Midwinter is amazing!!! She is not only helpful, funny, knowledgeable, but she is kindhearted and that is rare in nursing today unfortunately. She has always made herself available either by email or phone for any questions I might have.
My only negative comment might be that more afercare info and management from a person rather than just the booklets and paperwork might have been nice. I only received 1 phone message from the physician and never did get to speak to him in person after the surgery, perhaps because the nurses are so good at handling questions, I'm not...

I am currently 2 weeks post op and have not heard from anyone since the weekend of my surgery. (Other than an email to fill this review out). Another call reinforcing the post op care and expected hurdles might have been nice.
Over all I am extremely happy with SmartShape!! I feel if I do contact anyone with questions they would be happy to answer them!
