Poor customer service. BEWARE stay...
Unlike most companies, fairness and customer service is not a priority for this home building company. What started out as a goal to build my dream home quickly spiriled into the abbyss of an uncertain economy and nightmarish dealings with Centrex/Excel Homes. By the time I moved into my so called dream home the market valued had plumeted by 125,000.00. Pretty shocking as this was caused by far more than the poor economy - it was a ripeoff of a home that was never worth what I paid for it in the first place. Buyer beware! yes I am at fault for trusting a company whose reputation appeared umblemished at the time. Not so now, as I speak with other purchasers of the Excel/Centrex brand of home many problems are becoming apparent and I thought I was the only loser.
My main concern as I continue to investigate what "the hell just happened to my life" was where the builder was asking for concessions from its' contracters by 7% they were unwilling to make concessions for the very people who support their company by purchasing their homes, the buyers.
Please do yourself a favor and find another company to deal with and take my recommendation to not purchase a Centrex/Excel home. Oh! in case your wondering, yes I have moved in and yes I am still experiencing problems.
