Hair Color Nightmare
I went to have my hair highlighted at Epoca and asked for the most experienced color tech. They recommended Taleen who recommended instead of highlights an all over color. Five hours later, my hair was partially colored AND it was damaged. She looked at my hair and said it looked good however when I got home I realized that the back of my hair was partially colored and the bottom of the hair was much lighter than the top. I called the co-owner and was told to come back for a fix. So I went back to a different colorist and had my hair re-colored to fix the problem. However, the color not only became burgandy NOT what I wanted BUT by now my hair was so damaged that I had to book an appointment somewhere else to cut it all off. Girls do stay away for Epoca's 'color professionals' not only is the customer service poor (I had to blow dry my own hair because no one was available to do it) but they don't know sxxxx about color. It was supposed to be a simple process instead I had the worst hair color nightmare.

While I have not used the colour techs...I have been going to Epoca for a couple of years now. I see Cristina and have been very happy there.
It is helpful to know when a disaster has happened with your hair, but before you run to someone else and have it all cut off, you sould give the company one more chance to at try ti fix it.
Have you heard of cholesterol for hair? It is commenly used by black people because their hair is so hard to moisturize. My sister got some after she killed her hair from over dieing it, and it really helped.
You should call and ask and see if they know about this or have away to help it.
Wow! Sorry to hear your story, but i must say i have worked with this color tech for years and must say that she is not only one of the most fantastic colorists i have worked with but a real professional who is very careful and precise. As far as your comment "" they don't know sxxxx about color."" Taline and the entire color department has a very large and loyal clientele. This salon has been built on referrals and it's reputation is great!

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I had went back a second time to a different color tech to fix what had happened but she too seemed not sure what to do to fix the two colors in my hair, one on top and the other at the bottom. Unfortunately, she just added another color which worked a bit better but further damaged my hair. The worst part of my experience was that Taline didn't even acknowledge that there was a problem. Anyway, this was my experience. Cheers
