We had the priviledge to stay in the Ronald Macdonald house in Calgary while my son was in the Alberta Children's hospital for major surgery.
I found that the Ronald Macdonald house, their staff and volunteers provide an invaluable service. It was 10 times better than staying in a hotel, definately from an expense perspective, but much more so from a practical perspective. We had a beautiful, very comfortable room, the guest kitchen erea, dining room and games room for the kids all made the stay more comfortable and the staff and volunteers just did a sterling job.
I was also fortunate enough to meet some of the other parents staying at the facility as well as some of the young patients, and I wish them all only the best and they are in our prayers.
Once again, thank you to each and every person that contributes to make Ronald Macdonald houses such great facilities.
