I can never shake the feeling that nothing I buy will ever meet the required coolness of the hipster cashier. As if every time I turn my back the store clerks are silently mocking me and hiding their guffaws behind a worn copy of some Sonic Youth rarity (in vinyl). It's frankly more pressure than I can stand. But the collection is large and filled with just about anything you can hope to find (I still like Sonic Boom better).

A few years back I started getting back into collecting vinyl (records that is) and happened to live just up the road from Sonic Boom. I can still remember walking down stairs for the first time, seeing all the racks and getting goose bumps.
It's an absolutely massive collection of new and used as well as new and old. They've got a really diverse cross section of stuff so I'm always guaranteed to walk out with some new treasure. Of all the record stores in the city this is by far the best. Friendly staff (unlike some places on Queen St.) and an amazing vibe - coolest record store in the city.
