A MESSAGE FROM GARAMARK PROPERTY...
To the readers of this forum (both owners and tenants):
This forum, unfortunately, has become a place for tenants to vent about their maintenance concerns, or frustrations with our interpretation of the rules of the Residential Tenancies Act. As it is with most businesses, we cannot keep all customers happy, but as our other current clients know ( 400+ owner clients and 1000+ tenants that have NOT submitted reviews on this site), we try very, very hard to provide good customer service. Additionally, in our case, we are often put in a difficult situation trying to keep both an owner of the property and the tenant of the property, and sometimes those two parties want two completely different things!
Have we made mistakes? Are we perfect? Absolutely not! And that is why we are constantly striving to make things better. As our current clients and tenants are aware, we have recently made 3 major upgrades to our company:
(1) We upgraded to a different software in November, 2016
(2) We completely restructured the company in December, 2016 and now each person has a different position. This was done because many small details were getting lost in the workload of a single portfolio manager, causing delays in communication.
(3) In January, 2017 we now have the ability for tenants to submit maintenance concerns directly from our website. This allows us to track tickets and also provides a way for our contractors and tenants to communicate and seamlessly book appointments, etc. It also allows the tenant to submit feedback on every repair, rating our performance and the contractor's performance. And the system will automatically remind the contractor daily if they haven't contacted the tenant or completed the repair. We believe this will alleviate all/most of the concerns seen on this website.
So, for our current tenants and owners, you will begin to see changes in our company customer service almost immediately. This will continue to get better and better as the new staff are trained and get comfortable in their new positions.
Sincerely,
Garamark Management
