The Runaround

I used to hate UPS because they were usually very expensive, but at least they get the package delivered. Purolator is the worst in my opinion.
1) Delivery guy buzzes me, sent to my cell phone, to deliver a package. I'm not there but he says he can just leave it at my apartment door. Its a Bell modem so I tell him no. In fact I would say no to leaving ANY package at my apartment door. That's just asking for it to get stolen.
2) He never leaves me a tracking number, no sticky, no notice, nothing. I expect to at least get a call from Purolator. Several days go by, nothing.
3) Call Bell to get the tracking number
4) Check with Purolator website, package was sent back to Bell
5) Call Bell to resend it
6) Several days later, delivery guy buzzes me again. NO I do not want it left at my door. Can I have it resent to another address. Sure he says just call Purolator.
7) Call Purolator to change delivery address. No, it has to be done by Bell.

I’m sorry to hear of the bad experience you had with us. I would like to take the opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience that may have ensued.

For security reasons, notices of delivery are not left in common areas such as apartment complex lobbies. Packages are returned to the terminal where the local staff notifies the receiver by phone. If the phone number was not provided, they will attempt to locate a contact number for the receiver through alternate means such as online directories. The package will then be held for pick up for 5 business days before being returned to the sender. Please feel free to send the tracking # to customer.care@purolator.com and I will follow up on it.

Though it is true that we are unable to redirect shipments coming from Bell to an different address ,due to security restrictions imposed on Purolator, we can have it transferred to a closer Purolator retail location upon request.
