Satisfying Dim Sum!
Before I go any farther, the name of this restaurant has been changed to Laolee Beef Seafood restaurant, so if you're trying to find this place that's its new name.
I only go to this restaurant for Dim Sum, which if you don't know is basically Chinese brunch. There are women who push carts around the restaurant that have various food items on them. You tell them yes or no when they come to your table, and they mark it down on your sheet. The sheet has items which are rated Small, Medium, Large and X-large. The dishes range in price, but I think the most expensive dim-sum item is around $5 dollars. For two people we never really pay more than $25 and we leave stuffed.
My favourite items are (pardon the spelling!): sticky rice dumplings, har gow, su mai, crab claw (which is a deep fried ball of shrimp and crab mmm!), deep fried har gow, and shrimp chow fun (or shrimp rice noodle roll, and black pepper ribs. This usually costs us around $25 for two!...

Make sure that the first time you go for dim sum you go with someone who knows what they're talking about, or else you might get some stuff that you didn't want!
Also, it's usually really busy around primetime dim sum (11-2) on Saturdays and Sundays, but no reservations!
One of the things I don't like about this restaurant is that they charge you for tea. Who does that!? It's not that it's expensive, it's the principle of the thing! Also, recently the portion sizes have decreased slightly, but the prices have stayed the same. It's only something that we noticed because we frequent it so often, but it's not that big a deal.
Although the food portions may have gotten a bit smaller, it's definitely one of the better dim sum restaurants I've ever been to, so I definitely recommend it.
Also, the bathrooms are not nice. But this is fairly typical in good Chinese food restaurants, so I'm not surprised.
Pros:
Good prices
Traditional dim sum (with carts)
Quick
Popular!
Cons:
Busy
Gross bathrooms
Slightly smaller portion sizes (not that big of a deal)
Try it out! It's soooo good.
