Horrible Service and Product.
But then again, what did I expect. Ordered on Monday and they said it would be in by the end of the week. Today is Friday and I haven't heard anything so I called to check the status. They said they'll call me back. Two hours pass...no call. I call again and they again say they'll call back...no call. One last time, I call, they say they'll call back. I think they finally got the point since they called back and told me it'll be ready before close. I call at 7pm and the lady says "Yes it's in...you can pick it up tomorrow." Tomorrow?! If you know anything about Pac Mall, you don't want to go there on a Saturday so I told her I'd like to get it today. for which she simply responds "ok".
It takes me 30 minutes to get to Pac Mall and I get there at 7:45, before they close at 8pm. The optician then decides to check my RX at THAT time, rather than checking BEFORE I got off the phone with them. Lo and behold, he tells me the prescriptions wrong and that it'll be another week IF THEY rush it! WTF? First time around, it took four days, but to correct their f*ck up, it'll take longer? It's like they absolutely don't give a sh*t about their customers because they know they have ENOUGH SUCKERS to keep them in business.
This place has absolutely no regard for customer service. I never expected the world from ANYTHING at Pac Mall, since it's notorious for shitty service. However, I expect them to give me EXACTLY what I paid for ON TIME, especially when I've already paid in good faith. The more I think of it, the more angry I get!
This is what I get for being too lazy to trek all the way downtown to my old spot. Pac Mall selection and prices, HOWEVER with GREAT customer service. Minh Chau Optical on Spadina in Chinatown. I've decided that I'm only going there from now on.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES OUT THERE.
UPDATE: I've been following up with them again today and found out my 'new' glasses are ready...again, I called THEM and they told me "They JUST came in, you can pick it up". This time I told them to check it before I wasted my time and they said they'd call me back...they didn't. An hour later I call again and they told me they will have to send it back AGAIN because it's scratched!! What kind of crap is this!?!? Stay away!
UPDATE #2: Turns out it was the frame that was damaged, not the lenses. So the optician said that they had changed the frames and all is well. I checked it as best as I could while in the store, however noticed when I got home that there's plier marks on the left arm where they adjust it. I'm so fed it up with this place and it's fairly unnoticeable, I'll live with it...but not what I expect when I drop close to $400 for a NEW pair of glasses....this story has ended and it wasn't a happy ending.
