Dishonest people who will rip you off...
My vehicle stalled on Parkdale Ave near Wellington. Police officer said that it needed to be moved fast for proper flow of traffic. He explained that he could not allow me to wait for my towing co out of Kanata, since his guy was sitting on the ramp. Metro towing showed up and loaded up the car on flatbed. Driver asked where the vehicle was going. I said Bells Corners to a car dealership where I worked. He said he is towing it there only if I had cash, which I did not. I said that I will give him a dealership purchase order (our collision does a lot of insurance business and Metro tows cars to us all the time). Driver refused and took off with my car. I called their office and they said that he is almost there and it would be easier if they bring over my vehicle next day.
I called next morning to have my vehicle brought over. The office demanded $155 for first tow to the yard. $90 for storage (2 calendar days @$45) and tow out of $188. Close to $433 for a vehicle that should have been brought there originally. Guess what purchase order from the dealership was acceptable now at 3 times the cost. I argued unsuccessfully...
I asked what happens if I leave things as they are and was told they would continue billing me at $45 a day for storage. I had no choice, but to sign over my vehicle.
I emailed the owner of the company who defended their business practices. Mr. Wehbe inform your driver's not to leave their trucks unattended, payback is a bitch.
