Just don't take your kids!
I walked into the store the other day with 2 quite well behaved kids. When asked "Yes" from the stylist I requested 2 children s cuts. She barked "How old are they?" When I replied 6 and 3 she grunted (while waving her scissors) that she wouldn't cut the 3 year olds hair as she has no patience for them (like all 3 year olds have the plague or something) but she would cut the 6 year olds hair. My reply was of course "no thanks - we don't have the patience for you!".
This got me so mad. First of all I know my kids. They are well behaved and I wouldn't put them in a situation where they are uncomfortable - they had requested hair cuts and were very willing and co-operative. In fact the wonderful people at First Choice Hair (where we went to after being rejected here) actually commented on how well behaved they were!
Second, what is up with making a decision based solely on age? Any parent will tell you every child is different. How presumptuous of someone to pass judgment within 10 secs! I thought this salon was marketing to families ( I got news for you folks - this means kids too)? Shouldn't you screen your employees more carefully?

Im sorry you had a bad experience. Its hard to imagine them acting like that. They were so helpful and nice when I was there. The other stylist was give a child a hair cut while I was there and there didn't seem to be any problems. She was amazing with the little boy and she gave him the cutest hair cut Iv ever seen on a 1 year old. She was so patient with him and the mother. She was fast too the little guy barely had time to pull a wobbly.
She did say that they have made some real changes there; new stylists, new products, and better prices.
I hope this will help you at least reconsider Magic Cuts
