I would never recommend this studio for children. My observation was that children were humiliated through the aggressive and shaming nature of teaching from Cheney. My son was frozen in fear and Cheney continued to pick on him. If something didn't look 100% correct, he was forced to do it over and over again with a look of panic on his face doing it the best he could. Cheney could not see that the children were in fear and not able to process what he was asking of them. He did not use any methods that were developmentally appropriate for children, such as hand over hand modelling for them. Only one demonstration with a number of steps at the front and then expected perfection. It was awful to witness young children being sent to the corner or dropping to do more push ups because they couldn't understand the one direction being provided. I am shocked he is still offering children's classes and parents are allowing this bullying to occur to their children.
